Saunders Future In Doubt

He said: "I haven't enjoyed it. I played the first eight games but after that it's been stop-start.

"I can't say I've had good memories, but that's part and parcel of being a footballer.

"I've got to sit down with the gaffer in the summer and see what his plans are, but I wouldn't want another season like this.

"I'm not happy when I'm not in the side and I'm sure the gaffer wouldn't want an unhappy player, so we'll have to sit down and see what's best for everyone."

I would venture these words wouldn't chuff Andy to bits.

I agree with a lot of what has been said. I do feel that it was a strange move by Andy to bring in Cleveland Taylor so soon after signing Sam Saunders and that it probably took the wind out of his sails to a degree. Then it seemed that Andy would alternate between the two which did neither any favours. When you think it was a move that took him out of his comfort zone, away from his guaranteed starting place for the daggers, into a far better league and then consider he has played very sporadically in a team that struggled at times during the season its not really a surprise that he hasnt shown his best form. Personally i hope he stays and shows us what a decent player he is. He definitely has something about him but maybe he needs the confidence a prolonged run in the side would bring him. I wish him all the best.
