Just seen on Sky Sports News that one of the Rotherham players battered the ref, who had to be replaced by the 4th official.

Didn't look accidental to me, hope the player gets banned for it.

If they draw the winner of Hull vs Sunderland they've got to fancy their chances in the semi. Possibly they will have nothing to play for in the league by 1 April so yes they could be a tad distracted.

It's more important that we have the best possible odds in our favour to beat SU, as the result of their match against Orient will then be relatively insignificant. Better that than the other way round.

Of course, but it is better that SU are distracted, so that we beat them, and then maybe LO beat them as well. Rather than SU being out of the cup and fully focused on our game, so that we lose to them, then we have to panic about hoping that LO lose to them as well, all the time whilst Preston creep up behind us.

Fair point........but just saying that their game v Orient is closer to FA Cup semi than their game against us........more likely to be 'distracted' v Os??.........

From a fans perspective if by 1 April SU have little or no chance of making the play offs I'm sure the majority of blunts will be pretty much not at all bothered about the result of their match against poxy Brentford on that evening, and no more or less bothered that they would be against Orient 4 days later. Obviously the players are professionals and cannot think like that but in practice it will be very difficult. Their season is all about Wembley now.
