Since the mods don't wish for us to discuss off topic football in the match threads, i thought i'd create a place where we can all discuss the day's football, i do realise it's a bit early, but it will become useful in a couple of weeks.

Look, i ain't trying to start anything, it's in the 'relevant' fourm so I can't see why they could just close it.

I thought being able to discuss off-topic stuff was part of the charm of the match threads, so in a way I am a bit disappointed it cannot be done anymore. This, despite the fact I myself tended to stick to Brentford and results that related to Brentford (or results Bees would be interested in, such as Reading or Fulham).

It all seems to be becoming a bit clinical and regimented on websites these days, and not just GPG. I think the structure of these sort of boards have a lot to do with it, so I wont go all out and blame those who moderate, but I do think to be a website administrator requires a traffic warden mentality.

Nothing to stop giving BFC updates as well so it could be a sort of rival forum:idea:

To be fair, I penned that before I realised there was a thread dedicated to the topic. But yes, nothing wrong with a random rant once in a while. You never know when I am going to let fly. :D

I was in favour of using the same thread for updates but I'll settle for using a seperate one if that's what we have to do.
