The second half of the season has shown everything that is good and bad about Rosler. Did very well to turn Wigan around and get them in the top 6. Ultimately his caution has cost them in the playoffs. When Derby scored, they looked to score again, Rosler looked to defend.

yes-its quite funny in a weird way -seeing the same tactic employed with a different team.

Was a good game to watch though-looking at it from a neutral point of view (although wanting WA to win)-the stand out players-were the centre backs of both sides-and the players just look bigger and stronger than L1

A lad that has come to Bees with me for a few games is a big Derby fan. He reckons he might be able to get me a ticket for the Derby end. Happy to become an honorary Ram for the day. They will have an incredibly loud supporter for the day!

I don't think Uwe went all cautious, he started without a forward so getting anymore cautious was impossible, they lost it the first leg where QPR showed no intent but Uwe stuck with 3 centre backs. Entertaining tonight but that was down the Rs giving it a go from 30 minutes on.

Yep, I'll go with that. I said at the time that the firat leg was reminiscent of Martin's decision to contain away at Sheffield Wednesday who had an appalling home record.

Tonight was just as much about Wigan just struggling to contain QPR as it was Uwe's natural cautiousness and yet, ironically, they should have won it with the dreadful miss just before the RaRa's equaliser.
