barnet 2 up

2 mins injury time at Coventry with neither team interested, great effort by MA and Barnet but isn't going to happen.

Bolton come back from 1-2 to 3-2.....Burton down as it stands....

John Higgins currently got 9 reds and 9 blacks including a double...

147 very much on...

Swansea 0-1 Southampton. ...Saints virtually safe .baggies down and Huddersfield need a point from 2 games to relagate Swansea. ....

Huddersfield in real trouble, last two games away to Chelsea and home to Arsenal. Swansea final game home to stoke.
Glad Southampton stayed up, think they would have deep pockets with income from van dyke, parachute payments plus home gates pulling +25,000.
I think they are a well run club that have generally tried to play football the right way.
Can see Swansea struggling and Huddersfield too.
West Brom, Stoke and Swansea coming down means no guaranteed bounce back to promotion next season.

Yes I'm relieved Southampton aren't going down as they would be very strong in the Championship. Never minded Southampton either - must be the red and white.

Great rearguard action from Udders. Fair play - a point at City, then another at Stamford Bridge. Deserve another season in the PL after that...

I’m really happy for my udders mate neighbour who is there tonight and goes to every game and has been sh*tting it all week.

I would rather watch us in the Championship than two seasons of Huddersfield playing the way they've had to to stay in the Premier League.

Yeah, that and the fact you don't live near and work there I imagine. They really think they are something!

All three promoted sides from last year survived this year. Shows what is possible! :)

Yep. When we go up, I trust we'll stick to our style. Bournemouth, and to a lesser extent Brighton, have shown it can be done.

Huddersfield have stuck to their style.
They bored the tits off everybody last season as well.

And all three have beaten Man Utd

If that isn't bizarre enough, the only team that runaway champions of the Championship, Wolves, failed to beat all season, was last placed Sunderland!

True. I suppose if I was one of their fans, I'd rather watch them in the Prem. But they're in for more of the same next year, and I'd back them to come down this time next year. Boring as ever, just with more money.

I think we all do that, don't we?

Nothing wrong with being proud of your team; but a little more humility is needed in the town of Southampton about how big (or not) their club is and where they have come from.

What have we in common with these clubs financially?

Not a lot, but I'd go back to my point that if - for financial reasons or whatever else - the price of promotion is to play like Huddersfield (or, for that matter, Cardiff, Derby, Boro) I'd rather stay where we are.

There are some games where that approach is necessary. I believe that its something that we need to learn if we are to progress further.
I'm thinking of away games against certain types of opposition highlighted by our lack of success when playing away in Yorkshire.
The most successful teams have the ability to change their style of play even mid game.

I'd rather see little old Brentford have managed to make it into the Europe like Burnley have just done.
I highly doubt any Burnley fan would swap that for a bit more passing and being back in mid-table Championship.
It's one thing trying to play but I think we could learn from Dyche's defensive mantra too:

They both spent fortunes to get up to the PL unlike Cardiff and Huddersfield. I love the way we play but if we changed to a style that meant we were more successful I’d take it.We were not that attractive during Martins time but it was a great period keeping us up imho it would be the same if we were at the top of the table.

Under Martin I reckon we were like a League 1 version of Derby. Hard to beat, hard to watch, organised, combative but limited team scattered with experienced has beens along with a couple of talented youngsters who never looked good enough for the league above.

Yep - I spent my teenage years in Winchester, and constantly had the piss taken out of me for being aBees fan. As a result, I've always hated Saints and would love them to have come down...

Whilst having my early morning cuppa (4am) I was thinking "What team can we (Brentford) relate to in The Prem"..........I thought of Muff, Pinkton, but Burnley was the one.
Low budget, good community club, maybe its because of my time up there?
I am not a massive Dyche fan, but you have to give him and that club some credit.
To qualify for Europe is fantastic and gives me goose bumps thinking that we could actually achieve the same, in the not so distant future.
COYR!

Shows how poor the premier is...top 6 is out the question but 7th down is for anyone. ..much harder to get there than stay....some real stinking teams up there.

Currently watch Charlton vs Shrews. Shrews has a tidy looking player

by the name of Jon Nolan. In my opinion, similar to our own Ryan Woods

an attacking playmaking midfielder. Looks decent.
