Exactly the bloke never let us down on the pitch not his fault significantly better players were brought in

He's not done anything wrong but mainly because hes not been allowed anywhere near the pitch for the best part of two years to do so.Poor signing who has been injured for pretty much two years.The sooner he moves probably to league two the better for both parties.

He played a couple of games when Bidwell was injured and we defended really well.

Let's not forget those who played a small part but still played a part!

Not quite right I'm afraid. He was ok against Walsall but it was his error that led to Craig getting sent off v Carlisle.hope he gets himself fit and can earn a contract elsewhere.

Not sure that was his error, but certainly contributed to 3 points vs Walsall

I would imagine he'll end up in League 2 - possibly Stevenage or another southern club - and thats about his level I feel.

He's good enough for mid table l1, as good as Bean, MacDonald, Woodman, Dickson etc.

You are right,Scott is a really nice fella and I wish him all the best wherever he goes.If he stays at GP then all well and good and let him prove his worth.

...............will do a decent job somewhere,but from that first tackle at Bury away he was never going to be a tough tackling left back............shame as he put in a couple of decent midfield performances............

Being a left back myself - always had a soft spot for him. Hope he finds something more suited and gets regular games.

.......................maybe I'm being mean-spirited, but presumably he must be getting back to a level of fitness that would warrant a contract somewhere - pity it can't/won't be us, to repay the faith (not to mention the expense) of keeping him on the sidelines for most of his time here.....................for that reason alone, I'm out!.......................:shrug:

Not altogether surprising that he's going to be released.

I spoke to him on Friday night in the Nelson. He came across as a really genuine and decent bloke. Shame that it hasn't worked out for him. Really hope he gets himself sorted with a good club and gets some games under his belt.

Panic buy who never really cut it and injuries didn't help. Seemed a really good guy and popular squad member but needs to get himself fixed up, reckon Gills or Crawley rather than league 2

Looked better at left mid than left back, but no progress could be made due to his injuries. Will do well for a mid table League 1 club. Good luck tp him, played a lot of U21 games and was professional throughout.

I gave him a lift from the training ground a few weeks back. - a very pleasant man who spoke very well about our Club and was truly delighted we were doing so well. He thought we would get promoted no bother and spoke about his disappointment with the injury he had.

I can only wish him well and hope he gets good fortune at his new Club.

I found his comments quite poignant really, for all that he’s realistic he’s also obviously disappointed not to have made a bigger contribution. Good luck to the lad, I hope he finds a gig.

Top pro with those comments. seems gutted that he hasnt played as much as he wanted to due to injury. and is very honest about when he did play that he didnt have the best of games (be it only 5). Hope he gets a new club and puts all injuries behind him. The gumtree comment is not needed.

No surprise that he'll be going, and his contribution has been less than we (or he) would have hoped, but his honesty is impressive, so I hope he finds a decent club in L1 or L2

I spoke to Scott a lot at the golf day and he is a really decent genuine bloke. I hope he finds a new club and gets his career back on track.
