Scott Partridge

Has been given a free transfer by Rushden.

Not the greatest player in the World, but I really liked him.

Scott Partridge

Didn't score enough goals, but would have been perfect behind Lloydy and another big forward who never came.

A bit of useless info.

Ever since his wife was pregnant Scotty football career has gone down hill.....ps his little girl is about 3 now:D

Haven't missed him because of our super strike force.

Any of you :computer: chaps know who has the better strike rate out of Scott and Mark Mc. Their assits records would be interesting as well:cool:

Scott Partridge

Mark has made 49 starts in his career
Mark has scored 12 goals in his career
Goals per game : 0.24

Scott has made 243 starts in his career
Scott has scored 57 goals in his career
Goals per game: 0.23

Also, it's a myth that Scott Partridge created chances for others in my opinion. He flattered to deceive - great first touch, but all too often ended up going down blind alleys and tieing himself in knots. Mark has created a fair few of our goals this year.

I thought Scott looked very good in his first few games. But after a few months he just seemed to loose interest, and strolled around the pitch with hunched shoulders looking totally pissed off with life. That said I wish him well.

Me and Ricko were talking about him on Tuesday.

To me, the signing of Partridge and Evans was crucial in our promotion from the third div. If it hadn't been for them we could still be languishing down there today.

However, although people say that you don't become a bad player overnight, Partridge most definately did.
Dunno why but I always felt his best position was behind the front two (I think this could be Rowlands best position too) and he never seemed to get played there after our promotion.

I liked Partridge. Problem was he was a really good 3rd division player, playing in the 2nd division (aside from his first month or two with us).

Scott Partridge

I really like Partridge, he had the ability to hold the ball up well when cleared from our defence. He didn't really adapt to Div 2 but still had the occasional good game, like in our only ever win at Wigan when their fans applauded him off the pitch!

I aggee with BB in that without him and Evans we would have struggled to get out of D3 (Herman was pretty crucial, towards the end of the season).

But the reason he didn't cut it in D2 was he was to lightweight. He was rather able to hold off players and was to often going to gorund with no end result. In my opinion he was at best an average D3 player

Scott Partridge

all he lacked was a decent set of studs as he always seemed to slip at the crucial moment.
