I was standing on the platform at Brentford station about 6 o'clock after yesterdays game when Tabby strolls up alone and sits down to wait for a train.

I shared a train carriage from brentford to clapham junction with Sir Sam of Sodje after the chesterfield game not long back.

Saw Bob Taylor near Acton Town tube station a few years back.

Tabby has recently purchased hs own place in Byfleet and travels to training and matches on South West Trains.

How do I know?

I'm a train driver for SWT and was chatting to him at the training ground about getting to work a couple of weeks ago.

Really nice bloke and had a good but short chat about the game as my train was about to arrive. We were also p***ing ourselves at two young lads on the opposite platform, obviously thinking of England and passing a rugby ball to each other. Unfortunately one of them dropped it. You know what happens to a rugby ball when it its the deck - anything! Sure enough it bobbled onto the track right in front of a train coming the other way. Quality moment !!
Couldn't help thinking if Tabby's mum knew he was out that late and on his own.

Rob Green drinks in my local doesn't normally drink, although I saw him at a superbowl party last night and he was knocking back a few pints.

He's a bloody shy lad and tries to ignore everybody he doesn't know, saw him the other week leaving budgens with a 2 litre bottle of coke before heading past me and my flatmate and heading into the chinease (not a great diet for a footballer i'd have thought) he kept his eyes on his shoes the whole time on the way to the Chinease, and as we made our way back from Budgens we saw him in the Chinease hiding in the corner head down trying to avoid eye contact with everybody. He does seem to be a nice enough guy and is clearly an intelligent fellow a bit of a rareity in England/ex premiership players.

I wonder what Dearden's doing these days. Not driving a BMW convertible I suspect but I could be wrong.

I once shared a Post Office van with Sir Stan of Bowles. The driver was a QPR fan and knew Stan arrived at Ealing Broadway and had arranged to meet him to take him training one morning. Driver knew I supported Brentford but didn't say anything and so we just turned up and Stan jumped in. We dropped him off at the ground for training and neither of us hardly exchanged a word. I was like a dumbstruck kid in a candy store. Later the same week we'd arranged (well the driver had) a lunch time meet in the New Inn after training. Terry Hurlock was there (told me to 'Stay lucky'), Danis Salman and David McKellar, big goalie who looked hard as nails close up. Willie Graham who had disappeared and was by then playing non league (Hillingdon?) had also turned up. Sir Stan was organising a trip out to the bookies or the dogs or something and then that was it...we had the afternoon delivery to make and we had to leave them. Over 20 years ago now and I bet not one of them recalls the encounter.

I was on the lash the other week in Windsor and none other than Matty Somner and Jay Smith were on a bender together (not literally i'd like to add)

I used to see Mark McCammon regularly at Sainsbury's in Chiswick. Then, after he went to Millwall he became a regular at Asda in Deptford. When he signed for Brighton, he was then seen frequently at Safeway in Worthing.

Odds on, he hasn't got a Nectar card then or hasn't made best use of it

In 2004 was having a quiet Sunday morning swim with the family at Vale Farm Wembley when at about 10am the lifeguards started moving people from one third of the pool and roping it off.

Soon after a load of lads turned up together, having some banter with each other when my lad said"There's Dobbo" ,and then "Eddie" then I had a look and it was the bloody lot of them having their warm down the day after the 1-1 draw at Hillsboro in the Great Escape season.

It will certainly be the only time that I share a dressing room with the Brentford first team as they got out soon after we did.

Hahha, I have spent a night in Area with Mr Lewis also, bit worse for wear and remember asking him why MA always takes him off first (this was pre-christmas when he had his run in the team) , he just laughed. Must add he was trying to look the part, grey blazer, white vest and some dog chains, he left empty handed !
