Self generated Crises

7 games in and a stream of posts questioning TFs future employment, the failure of the DOFs, the inadequacy of new recruits followed by posts about the must win nature of the game with Stoke. This is a self generated crisis without any substance.

Self generated Crises

Thought this was going to be about something else starting with "Bre"..

Self generated Crises

I don't think it's a crisis.
The DoFs have done very well. We have another cracking set of players.
I think TF is very much like DS, nice bloke, good training ground coach etc, but far from perfect tactically and sticks to the same thing for a long time, before considering making changes, whether during games or over a period of months.
We'll start to do better as the season goes on, I'm sure, but I also think we've already dropped points unnecessarily, and won't finish as high as we could have.

Best to see a problem early enough to put right, Ostrich syndrome rarely works.

Was this the same thought re TF when first appointed too?

Was this the same thought at any point during DS’s tenure?

Thankfully there are people who have a better idea about what’s happening than you.

I have the tiniest fear that this thread might simply regurgitate views posted elsewhere. Now, who will be the first to mention a striker.......

Ok ignore it and it will all go away

Do you ever have anything positive to say? You were predicting certain relegation in December last year.

I will, but maybe not in the way others would.

It was clear to me that the club tried everything to keep Neal at the club, but his personal ambition lay in the Premier League.
We offered more money and a better contract than BHA, but to no avail.
We tried signing the boy from Charlton and from what I understand we really did try,but we know what happened.
The Club did what it could and I can't criticise them for what has happened over the striker issue and Karelis needs to get going straight away to keep the rabid crews happy.
Thomas Franks is going nowhere and has a job to do.
Certain players need to pick up their game also.
Yes we miss Neal Maupay and any team would, but crisis?
Boltons a crisis and we are not Bolton.

Just regurgitating the same drivel seen in other threads !
Let me do some work for the day instead lol

When I read the title of this thread I thought it was about 95% of the worlds female population, who catastrophise at every opportunity

I thought it was going to be about mental health

I thought this would be about that six letter word starting with B and ending with a T that we self regulate on and, like Fight Club, don't talk about.

:imwith:

This always happens when you completely change your squad, I always said a season of transition but I bought into the "going for it" bit. We have bought nothing but quality, nothing like the MD season when we bought a few duffs.

I still think we will trouble the top come the end of the season but it is a proper sh*t start because we can't score goals. When you continually buy players with 0-2 career goals what do you expect, they are not going to get 15 each however we expect to score more as a team then we have.

After 7 games last season Norwich had 8 points - Certainly no crisis at the moment

Our next 2 games are against teams in the bottom 3 - Anything less than 4 points from those 2 then I may have to rethink.

Good points, well made

I'll give you a crisis, the Oatcake lot have already drilled down on the team with the lowest pts total in a campaign (Rovrum, 16/17, 23pts), and even at this stage after 7 matches they had notched up 6pts.

Amazing that they only managed another 17pts over 39 matches.

Self generated Crises

At the moment, there's no crisis, however, its clear where the problem is. 5 goals scored in 7 games.

Self generated Crises

Even if we got relegated there would be no crisis, this club has come so far in such a short space of time. providing MB and his team are here we would get back up again. Relegation is the last thing I want by the way. Much to early to start panicking.

spot on.....no crisis but it could become one IF this lack of a cf isnt addressed quickly.....tf seems to think watkins is the answer and he clearly isnt.......anyway, i dont really get threads like this as all it seems to want to do is slag fellow bees fans off for having an opinion which is different to the thead starter......just weird

blimey....i bet mb wouldnt think that !!!!!! a new stadium in league 1 and playing accrington etc instead of leeds etc .....i think he might think that was a proper crisis in the current situation lol lol

Yep that's pretty much what I thought too.

How exactly do you suppose we deal with cf situation quickly? You do know the window is closed don’t you?

We have a new CF but he can’t play until he is fit.

What exactly do expect them to do?

Self generated Crises

Probably just semantics, but not sure exactly what OP is suggesting. "Self-generated crisis" suggests a crisis of our clubs own making, and yet the thread starter seems to be suggesting the very opposite and that there is no crisis at all. An example of a self-generated (mini-) crisis might be Chelsea where all is about to go well, with the award of a potentially equalising penalty, when a Trotta-style figure steps up (/is allowed to step up) to throw a complete spanner in the works.

Self generated Crises

A crisis would be something like losing 8 out of your last 10 games. We had one last season. TF was probably 1 game from the sack until we won the home game against Bolton. Hoping it doesn't come to a similar situation where he needs to win in order to save his job. No crisis yet but a home loss to Stoke would definitely leave me concerned.

I guarantee you he wasn't.

Just for clarity - this thread was the result of my exasperation at the extreme comments that appeared on the Thomas Frank and the Preston match report threads. My use of the phrase 'self-generated crises' refers to those people with no credible rationale talking about Frank, our tactics, the DOFs etc. in terms of meltdown and even referencing the Stoke game as some sort of final chance for the management team i.e. these individuals are generating an unecessary air of crisis.Maybe I take it all too seriously but that's how I am.

You’re wrong Jam Jar about last season and if we lost Saturday he won’t be getting sacked

You've not a clue mate. He was no where near it. That would have really finished the team off with everything else that had happened.

The CF is scoring goals though! It's the others!
