Shelley Gavin RIP

Lost my soul mate of the last 25 years to a chest infection tuesday night, some of you will remember young connor whipp our nephew who shelley was raising funds from various places including the mighty bees, connor is is still very well. sadly my true love has passed on, Im just trying to cope with the overwhelming support im recieving from my family, fishing friends , and lots of you from the griffin pub and gpg . Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart . SHELLEY managed to deal with my ways and we managed to do a complete season home and away one year . Great times living in hamilton road ,also following West Ham her first team of choice loved sports full stop .Sleep tight darling keep a eye on me up there celebrating the next coming season XXXXXXXX

Nanny, I had the privilege to meet Shelley on several occasions when arranging the GPG match for Conner and because of that I fully understand how you are feeling. Shelley was in no doubt that she WOULD meet the goals she set herself for Connor and she had the strength and determination to do just that. Shelley will Rest In Peace knowing she changed a life.

My sincerest condolences to you Nanny.

Look up when we score our first home goal of the season Nanny - you will see her.

nanny, I'm so, so sorry for your loss. I have a pretty good idea of what your going through at the moment. Don't ask too much of yourself. If people offer help try and take it. If they don't offer, ask for it. I know that it will seem unlikely at the moment but the hours will pass and become days and the days will become weeks and eventually some of the rawness of the hurt begins to fade a little - but of course you never stop remembering or loving.

Its probably not for you just at this moment but I write a blog on surviving the loss of your partner. Some people say that they find it helps a little to know that the way they are feeling is perfectly normal. In time do please feel free to have a look if you think it might be of some use. As most of us must be, I am always moved by the loss of life long Bees. I wonder if there is some way we could commemorate their input to the club. Maybe when Lionel Road opens we could have seats dedicated to their memoriies? I for one would be happy to support this and contribute towards some sort of fund. It would seem a fiiting way to simultaniously commemorate their dedication and the future we and they havelooked forward to for so long.
