They've got a nice little friendship with them.lol
Perhaps loads of their players and 2 ex managers are in the current Reading set up.

I see Northampton have signed him on loan today.

Yes and former Bees target James Quinn has left Northampton to join high flying Scunthorpe on loan!!!

Simon Cox

Still think he was considerably better than any of the loan signings Fitz has made. (assuming he isn't played on the wing that is !)

Could he have made a difference if we had kept him on? I dont know. We will never know but if I add up all the plusses and minuses of Fitz'z short reign that is a definite minus.

goal and an assist for cox on saturday for northampton. played as a forward

i still think he played as well as anyone has in central midfield for us as well

oh well, at least we got scott taylor.......:fishing:

Talking to a ST Cobbler just now who tells me that Simon Cox was MVP against Scunthorpe and is making that Jordan Robertson, who in turn made us look silly, look ordinary.
I couldn't understand why we let him go but it appears he has found a new home.

Managers live and die by these decisions...Fitz seemed to dump Cox and got in Leary instead, the rest as they say...

Simon Cox

Would think that if Reading are not going to keep him for next season we will have very little chance of signing him as you would think Northampton will be keen!

Shame though as he at least seamed to care about having a go not like most of them them this season!

Simon Cox

Cox was better than anything else Fitzgerald brought in (with the exception of Abbey...............

and Richards surely. Richards has the ability and where-with-all to go places in time. He's head & shoulders above those that he's been lumbered with in red-and-white (Jo aside)

Another goal for Northampton today.

Well done Scotty !

Simon Cox

Another goal yesterday. Bad, bad move by Fitz to offload and bring in Keith!

Simon Cox

We hadn't found his best position, where's he playing for them? In hindsight we didn't bring in enough loans for the quota to be a problem so we could have kept him. Now we're lower down the pecking order if he's released in the summer which is a shame as he's the type of young player we should be looking for

Offered a contract now with Reading, good luck to him :sorted:
