Six Nations 2008

We expect, your lot hope. :fishing:

Six Nations 2008

I see England have invented an "axis of inexperience" in the French team to attack.

They average only 6 caps in the forwards, and 10 in the backs. Should be a walkover. :)

Of course we have a chance. Perhaps not a big one, but certainly bigger than the chance the Welsh had of winning at HQ.

You keep believing Ed. The Welsh knew they were going to win - even I knew :D

Six Nations 2008

You mean the "if England don´t win by at least 100 points that´s a moral victory for Wales" posts? We foolishly read them as making-excuses-before-the-event posts.

Six Nations 2008

That's the best assessment I've heard about the Paris match tomorrow :sorted:
You don't fool me. Admit that you are a closet England fan and support the Red Rose singing "Swing low sweet chariot" as you drive to work.

Six Nations 2008

Is there some international equestrian sporting event tomorrow?

 Rugby? Aint you heard of it, it's the only sport Wales aren't proper sh*t at  :fishing:

Six Nations 2008

Enlgand will win tomorow :sorted:

He´s probably referring to the Women´s Six Nations Game in Bergerac on Saturday. England beat Wales and Italy 55-0 and 76-6, so there´s a decent chance he´s right.

Six Nations 2008

My lass is off to Ireland Vs Scotland today as she couldn't get any tickets for her beloved Welsh this year :computer: I have money on Welsh total points for the tournament at 110 :sorted:

Six Nations 2008

Wales are easily beating Italy.

I expect easy wins also for Ireland and France.

Six Nations 2008

Do we need a Six Nations update thread or something

 And a Six Nations prediction thread with pointless poll.

Then we can rename this the Six Nations banter and wind-ups thread.

Anyway, some attractive flowing rugby from all 4 teams so far today. No doubt England and France will continue the trend.

Six Nations 2008

Wales played well - Italy poorly. Good game between Ireland and Scotland with Ireland's superior finishing the big difference.

England outclassed by France. Maybe.

Italy have a completely clueless outside half. Do not expect to see Massi again. Italy were also nowhere near as fit as Wales - however when you are the second best team on the park you spend more energy then the better team - especially when it comes to forward effort.

It will be a very interesting game in Dublin in a fortnight's time. Watching Ireland today they have a very talented back division but seemed to be dominated in the opening forward exchanges by the worst team in the tournament. And quite what were Scotland thinking when they elected not to kick a penalty inside the 22 in the opening 4 minutes - absolutely idiotic. I expect Ireland to win narrowly against Wales - it will be an interception/error that wins/loses the game IMHO.

Can't see much wrong with that analysis - although everyone will be playing for second to France regardless I would've thought.

If the Grand Slam decider goes as far as Cardiff all bets are off.

Six Nations 2008

Also, I must say that I am really impressed with the new Welsh coaching staff. This little squad rotation has kept the whole squad on their toes. I reckon we won't see Mark Jones against Ireland.

Six Nations 2008

lol Best commentary of the year.

"you halfwit!!"

Six Nations 2008

This game is going exactly as i thought. Walsh is one of the best refs in the world - make no mistake it is a brave man that penalises (correctly) the first two scrums. England have an excellent track record against the French - the match will be determined on whether England can play their game or the French theirs.

However, England are renown for getting the basics right and their discipline under control - their line-out is a mess and they gave away a perfectly kickable pen due to ill-discipline. Brian Moore was also correct to term England a "halfwit" when playing a kickoff that hadn't got 10 years - how ****ing stupid to you have to be - I don't remember errors like that at U13s.

Sakey is the best new talent in this tournament - I was unconvinced about him defensively and the pen he gave away comfirmed that - he knows the rules of the game but he panicked. It resulted in a rather surprising pack v pack try for the French

If England can get into their 22 and get scrums they will win.

Actually just remembered something - when the ball move 30m backwards from a tackle you have to suspect a knock-on. I am very surprised he did not refer that try to the TMO. Of course I spotted the cheating ****ing English bastard immediately :)

It's a win-win for boyos - France lose they have no Grand Slam interest - England lose then more beers :beers:

:D

Six Nations 2008

Surprised to see Sackey outshining Clerc, but Haskell´s injury is a massive blow. Can someone explain why he wasn´t substituted immediately.

Six Nations 2008

When France kicked off after a penalty they didn't kick it the requisite distance, if our boy had left it we would have been good, but he went for it and the commentator called him a halfwit :)

Six Nations 2008

He called the French player who came in after the whistle went a halfwit aswell

Six Nations 2008

Thank you. Spanish commentators didn´t know that either, they thought the ref had made a mistake not giving a scrum.

Six Nations 2008

30 minutes is a life time for me to watch this game so I am busy on the internet and listening to the walkman as I can't bear to watch this match in case England lose but it is on in the back ground as Mr weymouth bee is watching it.

Six Nations 2008

I agree regarding Balshaw but Wilkinson has done enough for England over many years and does not merit being axed for one poor performance.

You are right. I hope England narrowly win and they will keep this bunch for another season :sorted:

Six Nations 2008

Another year and Cipriani will be ready to take Wilkinson´s place.

Six Nations 2008

16-10 to England at the moment

Six Nations 2008

I love this commentator, when he is not perving at the WAGs he is calling one of the frogs "Crap"

Six Nations 2008

19-10 now. Isn't awful. I don't think I can bare this tension. Still another 10 minutes to go. I hope we can hold out for that long.

Six Nations 2008

Some people might not be watching

:suspect:

I don't know nana, I am far from a Rugby expert. Not the main man but the more excitable co commentator.

Yeah - that's Brian Moore - the man completely incapable of objective and unbiased commentary :)
