England have improved in every game they have played in the tournament and you can't ask for too much more than that. Nice to see a decent ref for a change too

I agree that they are the most improved team. France never perform well at HQ, even so I was surprised to see France as only slight favourites. England were fortunate that the ref didn't let any scrums complete in the first half and I don't agree with the implication that all England's other referees were "not decent" - they were all very good performances. There are no sin binnings that I can disagree with and England were lucky to not have a penalty try awarded against them for that deliberate knock-on with only two French players outside and no defenders. Although it would appear that England have got over their indiscipline problems, I wouldn't be so hasty - it is when a team is under pressure that poorer teams need to take their chances of not being spotted and France never did that today (except for one period where England had to be warned by the referee!)

It was a great win for England......:sorted: Mr WB and I were there and the atmosphere was fantastic. I never expected us to beat the French.

Six Nations 2009

As much as it pains me I must admit that England played well against France and have shown some improvement over the Six Nations. As for finishing second hopefully thats not on as Wales will stop Ireland winning the Grand Slam and become champions again.

Six Nations 2009

Sad day but congratulations to Ireland. It's taken them a long time, but I guess that makes it all the sweeter.

Despite the closeness of the score they deserved their victory, but if only that last kick went over it would be Wales celebrating another Triple Crown.

little boy was taken away from his parents as they beat him all the time, so the social services asked him who would he love to live with, the little boy said "the Welsh Rugby team as they beat no one":sorted:

I'm here

The climax to the Championship was the most enthralling and absorbing rugby match I have seen for a long, long time. I once played in a 0-0 game but I never thought I would see one in this day and age, but was wondering about it after 30 minutes!

Ireland fully deserved their victory and there will be more Irish going to South Africa with the Lions than Welsh (and not many English I will add!). I was rather surprised that the first Irish try was given via a TV replay from such a foreshortening angle but there can be no complaints from the Welsh about the result over 80 minutes play. Saying that, if Jones's last minute penalty had gone over I don't think many Irish could have complained either. Henson bottled taking the last-minute penalty which may cost him a starting Lions place and he is certainly going down in many peoples estimations. Losing Lee Bryne didn't help the Welsh cause either.

Anyway, how does it feel to finish 4th behind the English? No complaints there either?

Yes equal second on points isn't all that bad. Nevertheless, I think we did manage to beat that team that plays in white, even if they have added a touch of red to their colours in recent times. Ask any Welsh, Scot or Irish who they most enjoy beating and you would get the same answer. Fortunately both Wales and Ireland had the pleasure of doing that.:sorted:

Little Man Syndrome!

Small, plucky, but shirty sorts who resent being the small fella and have to make up for it by showing they can mix it with the big strong athletic boys.

One shock result and live on the glory for life, failing to acknowledge or recognise that 9/10 times they get their backsides kicked because they're weaker. usually prefer to blame bad luck or anybody else except their own shortfalls.

I can't do them smilies
