England won the 6 nations, it might not have been grand slam, but if you look at the table, England are top and we beat Wales in Wales

in all this England/Wales stuff no-one has mentioned what a great performance Ireland put up today. Power, passion and quick thinking was the difference.
I am English/Irish and this game is one I always enjoy as I'm just watching the game for a change. Otherwise its England for me.
This team's time will come-the double Slam side of Carling et al blew a couple of chances before the great days came. A Grand Slam is not an easy thing-especially when everyone wants to beat England!
Still, at least the Frogs did the biz

What I don't get is the amount of 'trophies' that are competed for in this tournament...

Six Nations
Grand Slam
Calcutta Cup
Triple Crown

It's one tournament, surely there should only be one trophy - ridiculous!

Tradition, a legacy. It used to be a series of internationals but not league format. Also the Sweaties could never hope to win the whole thing but even they could win the Calcutta cup once in a while.

I like it, always top draw entertainment.

Agreed. Well done England anyway. Even though it is about tenth in our list of national sports behind rowing & tennis etc we still win this boring nonsense.
