England should win at a canter. But it will all come down to the last match in Paris.

Six Nations 2026

Autumn Internationals rekindled my rugby interest so looking forward to this.

Six Nations 2026

Rarely won by a team that only has 2 home games, like England have this year.
Scotland at Murrayfield and France in Paris are never gimmes.

France 4/6
England 12/5
Wales? More chance of Macclesfield winning the FA cup

As an Irish man this years 6 nations is there for the taking by England. Provided they don’t get ‘too far ahead of themselves’ before the end with the media build up in overdrive!
Ireland likely to be 3rd or 4th. A lot of injuries

Nearly 3 years since Wales' last 6 Nations win.......
😮

As well as France, their other Homes this year are against Scotland and Italy. If they don't win one of those last two, and with three Aways next year and the two Homes vs England and Ireland (obv), it could be 2028 before they have another decent chance.

Six Nations 2026

It's a France grand slam season with three home games with the last game being a grand slam decider. I'd happy with third for Ireland, the team needs a transitional season so it will be tough.

Six Nations 2026

The 6 Nations is being compressed into 6 weeks (from the usual 7) for the first time this year. And it is reckoned that the loss of one free weekend mid-tournament will test the ability of those teams with the smallest squads - Wales/Scotland/Italy - to rest or rotate their players, as well as cope with injuries:

Ridiculous. And to be fair, 7 weeks wasn't enough either.

The long-term health and safety of these players is being put at risk by greed, schedulers and sponsors.

The game is more physically demanding now than it has ever been in its history. Players are heavier, faster and fitter than ever before. They smash into each other harder than ever before.

So we give them even less time to rest and recuperate.

The game ends up like the SA 'bomb squad'. Smash the hell out of the other guys for 50 mins, and when they get tired, put another 5 or 6 on to do the same. If you've got a 30 man squad, you'll manage it. If you've only got 15 decent players, expect a good number of them to be crocked before the end of the tournament.

Rugby Union is really not enjoyable to watch any more. And as a Welsh fan, there hasn't been much to shout about for the past 3-4 years anyway!

Been like this for ages. 15 of today's massive men is too many for a rugby field

Rugby League worked that out ages ago for their crash-bang rugby and got rid of 2 players. Now Union players are also gym bunnies, perhaps it's time to do the same.

For us coming up the M3/A316, need to be wary for the Brighton game. Even though they ko early at 2.10 (odd time) I think a detour is a must.

A solution is to substantially reduce the number of allowed substitutes to maximum of 3. Players would have to prepare with the expectation of playing 80mins and more gaps would appear as the game progressed due to tiredness.

Yep. 👍
Will probably be M25/M4/A4 and reverse on the way home for me that day.....

I would also add the defensive coaching. The whole game has got so technical

I used to enjoy rugby union but it’s so slow and boring now. I also hate that the losing team with ten minutes to go rarely gets an opportunity to score. With scums taking most of the time up

Slippery slope of in game adverts coming to this year’s Six Nations ITV coverage. Although, there’s an argument regarding additional advertising required to keep the tournament free-to-air.

The broadcaster’s new rights deal includes the option to air two split-screen adverts before a scrum is set in each half of every match of the Six Nations.

Will they be under instructions to have 6 attempts at ‘setting’ each scrum?

Be fair. Sometimes the adverts are more entertaining than what's going on (more likely what's not going on?) on the field.

While Premier Sports are already dipping their toe into subscription coverage in the UK, albeit alongside free-to-air on ITV etc:
remier Sports to show live Guinness Men's Six Nations matches in 2026 | Rugby Union - Guinness Men's Six Nations

Of course they'll still cover it for their overseas markets, but if the UK viewing figures hold up well, how long before they make the organisers an offer they can't refuse and which the free-to-air channels can't come near to matching?

The thread clogger is reverting to type.

Six Nations 2026

France are looking like champions

Six Nations 2026

France good or ireland poor/ aging ? or a bit of both?
Ireland have half the squad out injured or because they told a ref to f*** off

Six Nations 2026

That volley forward by Ramos was with his weaker left foot. Wow! (Not noted by commentators).

Six Nations 2026

Best thing to do with these in-play adverts is not to use the advertisers.

So no Virgin Airlines for me.

Six Nations 2026

Nobody’s going to touch these French this year, are they? Incredible handling. And they’re playing with a bar of soap out there.

England should be decent. All set up for a last weekend clash

Have I missed something?
Lionel Bart says no one is going to touch the French then Ireland get 14 points in the next five minutes

In football terms.

France were 5-0 up

Now they've relaxed it's 5-2

There are still 3 scores behind whilst France were taking a collective breather.

10 minutes of scrums coming up
