Anyone know where i can get a bit of slate for a fire place hearth? Only to smarten it up, its not used so not looking to spend out mega bucks............. Other then that im going to put a slab of oak in the bottom.

Ring w7 reclamation on trumpers way. They are usually for good for stuff like that

I think there's one in Trumper Way Hanwell just reading back through the tread some one else has come up with the same. I did google Salvage Reclamation once, you could try it fro your area

I used to supply gas parts for open fireplaces.
I had a bespoke marble hearth made for ours by
a fireplace shop in Weybridge. This shop has gone now
but there is one on Northfields Ave. They should have something.
As the other poster stated, the yard in W7 is good, got an exact match
for wooded blocks missing in our floor.
