As someone who is not a member of the above linked website (which seems to crawl along for some reason), I'm afraid to say that the contributor has a point.

"This story is two months old", as stated, despite the fact the post seems to be a mini-tantrum!

Bee H and abee have done a decent job of exposing the crap that goes on at the club, but one thing they will never be able to argue against the club in future without hypocrisy is the lack of communication. This story (which we are now told is two months old) was clearly in the interest of ALL Brentford supporters - who are constantly guilt-tripped with comments like 'the club could die at any time. Shame on Bee H, abee, and everyone at the club who decided it was not news-worthy enough of the "Average Joe" who supports this fine club.

It may well be old news and communication may be poor, but, if the Board were in discussions with a third party, they would be absolute mugs to announce it, until a deal is done for fear of some other team hijacking it or the deal collapsing.

If we were in discussion, there may/should be a confidentiality agreement in place, restricting any announcement until the deal is done. Until then it is merely rumour and speculation, not a concrete deal.

The trouble is there are those in the know that keep their counsel and there is the 'i know something you don't know' brigade or wind up merchants, that winds us all up, drip feeds information and when it comes it to nothing, go quiet until the next time.

It is old news, nothing came of it, end of story.

abee wasn't even aware of this so .....

All that happened was that a friend of mine was accompanying some Middle East businessmen on a brief tour of England as they wished to buy a 2nd Division football club to expand their football coaching expertise, empire and facilities. I was asked to arrange for them to see GP as it was a typical (?) 2nd Div. club (but one that held no appeal to them whatsoever because of the debts) which I duly did.

They visited and off they went wishing us well and there endeth the story of the multi-billion pound takeover of BFC that never ever was !

yeah but what about the American tycoon that you've got interested, what's to say that he's going to be any good - just because he owns the Miami Dolphins, 3 x Television networks and 14 x Oil refineries and is a billionaire doesn't mean he'll be any good for us, I'm sticking with Bees United !

TV stations - well we all know what happened when ITV Digital collopsed and as for Oil Refineries, Wee Dave will go totally mental.

I am sorry that you have never understood my posts on here and your track record on Beesotted for the past couple of years certainly confirms that. I well recall when you were following the Noades line regarding the debt over on Beesotted and poo-pooing my figures and I had to correct you then............

If you will list the members of the GPG who are unenlightened about the situation and exactly what they don't understand (yet again) then I will try to put together a consolidated response. I hope that you will find that the majority of posters on this site have rather more intelligence than you credit them with and furthermore...........
