I don't get why they have moved Hogan to 11 but vibe is 21 . If they are going to take the number 9 off of hogan i would have thought it would go to andre or vibe as they are both strikers . Also why is there no 8 when Kerschbaumer is number 17 thats just weird .

Some players like to have specific numbers. They're only used for identification purposes anyway, otherwise they're irrelevant.

I've just had a look and it's certainly changed from the first pass.

As you correctly state Hofmann has now disappeared from the list entirely and Hogan is back to #9.

It's bizarre. Hofmann is listed in the article as 9 but now doesn't exist in the list. Is he in *Hull?

I was going to say that we should take the same attitude as Real Madrid when it comes to shirt numbers. You have the shirt number as long as you are at the club (ok, in the first team squad), newcomers can choose a new number and change as and when numbers become available. Seems the club is ahead of me for once

Maybe the numbers change on a day to day basis and it's gonna be a new marketing fund raising initiative..........guess what the players numbers will be at noon tomorrow at £10 a card. Pay out £25 if you get six or more correct.

I've just looked at Mark Devlin's twitter and he seems to be linking the official site's first attempt to tell us the squad numbers.

German striker Philipp Hofmann, who joined from 1.FC Kaiserslautern takes up the number nine shirt.

Erm no he doesn't actually..........Hogan is now shown as #9 and Hofmann has disappeared. It will probably have changed again by the time I've finished typing this.
