I believe its a contractual technicality, if you look at other Reading players Watson, Boucard etc they have their current clubs also as being loaned to or from. Its possibly something to do with expiry dates of contracts and insurance requirements to cover friendlies etc.

We have had Salako, Burton & Myers all playing in friendlies, but they have not signed a contract until this week, so I presume that was because their previous deal expired 31/7, so who were they employed by for Insurance purposes when they played their friendlies? I would imagine a loan agreement is put in force until the expiry of their contract to cover for any insurance problems.
Reading site is still incorrect as it should show Sonko being loaned from not to Brentford.

Yes but as previously stated on the Reading site they have all the players that have gone i.e Watson and Boucard also down as loans to Colchester and Peterboro.
