Squad strength 2018

After last night I was thinking what the team might have been if everyone had been fully fit. With everyone available we could put out 2 seriously good teams...

Bentley, Dalsgaard, Konsa, Mepham, henry, Maceachran, Macleod, Sawyers, Canos, Maupay, Watkins

Bonham/Daniels, Clarke/Yennaris, Jeanvier, Barbet, Moses, Woods, Mokotjo, marcondes, Judge, Benhrama, Forss

Based 1st team on current choice with the assumption that a fully fit Henry would be LB. No room for Ogbene and one of Clarke/Yennaris miss out too. Unbelievable Jeff!

I think a fully fit Moses would give Dalsgaard a good run for his money but aside from that.....yeah great strength in depth for possibly the first time ever!
(I know Rico's a mighty mouse but he deserves a capital letter too :) )

I agree as regards Moses/Dalsgaard.

Yeh, there’s a few there you could justifiably swap out, Dalsgaard/Moses, Jeanvier in for one of Meps/Konsa, Woods/Josh, Canos/Benhrama, Macleod/Mokotjo and hopefully eventually Sawyers/Marcondes. Never known a squad like it. As for Rico, he’ll get a capital letter when he proves his fitness! ?

No room for Field either, as you say unbelievable squad depth and quality this season. The only position where I don’t think we have strength in depth is centre forward.

Wonder if we are tracking Godsway Donyoh ? Seems a rising star in Denmark this season

Made a similar comment after the lineup was announced for the Southend game, but yeah our 'second string' team right now is better than our starting XI was as recently as the 15/16 season.

How the hell did all this happen ? Oh yeah MATHEW BENHAM if there was an award for the best football club owner in the world , there would be a shortlist of one . If I haven’t said it lately thank you ??

Every club in the Championship this year have lost at least one of their top players. We to date haven’t.

I thought we had the team to win promotion last year but looking back we didn’t have the squad coupled with a poor start. Our squad has improved two fold and the quality is for all to see.

The work of the last few transfer windows have been towards this year IMO. Our strength is unbelievable. Promotion without a doubt will be the ambition.

I think that if the three Brumigos hadn't had their hearts set on a move and instead were committed to stay and played like it we'd have had a better start and a better chance of making the play offs. Other than Harlee, who we never missed and who'd have just got in the way of Mepham's rise.

The D's of F seem to have recruited to make us more 'shock-proof', with a depth of squad that allows rotation (as we're playing such a high-tempo game) plus being better able to withstand long-term injuries or unexpected sales.

I knowr Cynical' said 'team' but I cant believe anybody hasn't even mentioned the manager DS who is head of the team, keeping hold of him is very important for little old Brentford going forward, with his status continuing to grow and getting plaudits from fellow managers it wont be long before the money boys come knocking with a serious offer he cant refuse, financially.

Yes we have a seriously good team when all are fit a team which should get us to the Premier League, No I am not Joking for whoever's laughing :mad:

He’s not the Manager, he’s the coach. There is a difference. The philosophy of the club will just continue if DS leaves ( I’ve no wish to see that ) but it will happen. IMHO we have his replacement already on the coaching staff if he doesn’t get a job in Denmark soon, if he or anyone else takes over we will just carry on as we are now.

This is the best and most exciting squad in my time. There ain't no stopping us now and what a season to look forward to. The treble is on.
