He is not cup tied, we have more injuries up front after Notts County. We have a side that could go up.

The only reason they would have let him go is cos they are expecting big trouble over the gazza incident.Did they not just pay a million or something for him, to let him go must mean he is a major problem.

Why would he sign for us?
Why do we want him?
Personally I think that he's a waste of space, and my workmate who is friends with Neil Lennon reckons that Collymore is the biggest waste of space, and this is according to Lennon.
Collymore has been nothing but trouble since arriving at Leicester, and I hear that his training regime, and dressing room banter are non-existent, plus he still thinks that he is God.
Too expensive, and plainly too much of a liability for me, and I wouldn't go near him. Pete Taylor has said that he only wants professionals at Leicester, and Collymore has never fit the bill. Leicester fans are generally glad to be rid of him, as are the players. Don't get me wrong, I think he's an excellent talent, but not for us though.
If you ask me, I reckon that Fulham might get in the frame to sign him, or a team like Bradford.

Collymore was interviewd on Talk Sport yesterday afternoon.
He is clear that he wants regular (read permanent)first team football with a guaranteed place in the starting line up.
The reason he says is because he wants to be picked for England!!!!
Therefore forget any idea of him coming to GP.
Additionally, he is a woman beating ****** and does not deserve to be playing pro football, let alone being handsomely rewarded for doing so.

Ron Noades is spearheading an audacious bid to give troubled Leicester City striker
Stan Collymore one last chance to resurrect his career.
The 29-year-old hitman handed in a transfer request at Filbert Street yesterday and
the former Selhurst Park supremo is already rumoured to have been in contact with
the Foxes board in an attempt to reunite himself with the former Crystal Palace
striker.
The businessman wants to take the England international on an extended loan for
the season, and believes his arrival would boost gates and pay for itself within
weeks, in a piece of business very reminiscent of Ian Wright's arrival at Burnley last
season.
Noades is adamant he could control the wayward star who is currently being given
a wide berth by Premiership and Division One clubs.
He said: "We have made no secret of our interest in Stan but the logistics would
have to be right. We would have to sit down and talk about the financial side of
things because he is on ridiculous wages up there."
Collymore has just returned from a broken leg but has not figured much in new
Leicester boss Peter Taylor's plans so far.
He said: "My aim is to get back into the England squad and if it means looking
elsewhere then so be it.
"I still feel I have a lot to offer at the top of the game but if that is not possible then I
will have to be realistic and go somewhere that wants me."
Collymore is also once again in the spotlight after a controversial clash with
Everton's Paul Gascoigne in Sunday's TV clash at Filbert Street.
The FA have confirmed that their video advisory panel will meet later this week to
review Collymore's tangle with Gascoigne when the Leicester striker appeared to
stamp on and elbow the Everton midfielder in the 1-1 draw.
Collymore's arrival in London would certainly raise a few eyebrows. He blamed
much of the controversy he courted when at Liverpool on the fact that he was
homesick and missing his Midlands roots.
Spells at Aston Villa and Leicester have failed to prevent Stan from making
headlines for the wrong reasons and a move to London may not be the most ideal
of moves for him personally.
Furthermore, he still harbours ambitions of an England recall so it appears a move
to Griffin Park, as far as the man himself is concerned, is very unlikely.

I have thought for quite a while that we would benefit from a "big name" signing or loan deal to boost crowds and confidence in the team. Whilst Ron's strategy of young players with potential is without doubt the way for a club like Brentford to go, we could do with something to stir the imagination of the stay away supporters a la Ian Wright at Burnley.
Whether Collymore is right for us i don't know but it would certainly get us noticed.

(a) The two of them deserve each other
(b) He would be pulling of one hell of a coup
(c) The world has gone mad
I dare say there isnt much likelihood of this happening but surely we would have more to offer than Southend...dont we?
