Staying in - Going out

How you watching the game ?

I’m in, boss, boys, their partners and a couple of mates Having a BBQ. Pubs have been mental and it’s hard to watch the game with all the crap going on around me. Call me an old boring fart but I want to watch the game.

Just remember not to chuck your beer up in the air when we score, you’ll never get it off the ceiling ?

Question is whether to let the four year old stay up until half time or not. Did that for the semi but I missed ten minutes of the second half trying to get him to sleep.

If they know whats going on then why not let them watch all of it, could be 58 years before it happens again

He doesn't, he gets bored and then wants to us to play with him instead.

Staying in, mix of French and English, hopefully we can claim the Bastille Day fireworks as ours!

Mine are both staying until full time and to hell with the consequences. ?

My son is intending to hit the local around 5pm to blag a spot for us but I fear that even three hours before kickoff won’t be early enough. Good if we can though, it was great fun there for the NL match. Brixton Ritzy have it on the main screen for free, might head there if the pubs are totally rammed.

im watching in the stadium, big screen in the Legends lounge. £15 for a ticket with free pint in the stadium and reserved seat in front of screen (had option for £10 for an unreserved seat)

Still not sure where we're going but i wanna get out, mainly so i can smoke 101 cigarettes (and maybe some funny fags) to get through it. I did similar for the last euro final, "peaked too soon" and "watched" most of the second half in the garden while trying not to see my dinner again.........

I am older and wiser now... but not much. And our usual footy pubs here are charging £15 up-front in redeemable vouchers for a reservation. Doable, but i only spent a tenner for the semi so, this is an outrage.

It's on czech TV too but the trouble with a random place is the Czech commentary (not the end of the world but would be better in English) and the potentially late finish time (an hour later for us).

Will update you, thanks for asking (y)

Staying in - Going out

Just on way back from a three night walking and drinking holiday in Wales so if I manage to stay awake until kick off to watch from my sofa that will be an achievement in itself

Staying in - Going out

Home for me. The old man has buggered off to live in Wales and my mates are all West London way.

So making the kids stay up (prob not the boys as they have no idea whats going on) as it could be the only time they see it in my lifetime.

Got a late afternoon full breakfast planned (different).Load of beers in the fridge #cans and my spot on the sofa.

Might take the dog for an afternoon walk and a pint just to get in the mood.

Come on England.

Staying in - Going out

Making a day of it with some friends. Booze, BBQ, booze, tennis, booze, music, booze, dad dancing / shuffling and the main event.

I will let my wife decide if the eldest stays up or not - She will have to deal with the potential grumpy aftermath tomorrow morning. Her benefit of working from home.

COME ON ENGLAND!

Staying in - Going out

Sitting in the living room with it on in the background while i work.

Oh and i've got Monday off....................... So none of this 4 can malarkey and falling asleep sillyness after a few days in Wales ;)

Full steam ahead. Debating if 12 cans is enough :sneakoff:
I’ve just had 7 pints thinking about the game. Few hours sleep here in Oz, then pub at 3am, if we win it’s an all dayer by the beach . Time to get my few hours sleep. It’s like Christmas!

Staying in.
Bar b q, cocktails, #cans Thatchers.
They're doing a big screen viewing at County Ground Taunton.
But I've always hated watching footy in big groups, where you can't actually see the game, with people who really "don't get it"......like I do!! ? And if we win will claim its the best day of their life or 5 minutes after we've lost will be like "Oh well, theres always next time".

Can't think of anything worse than watching it at a bad angle in a pub with a bunch of over opinionated dramatic boorish idiots soaking me in beer

It's a young man's game

Will watch it at home with a few beers, interspesed with making negative comments on the GPG

At home if it was on my sofa on my own all the better but it won't be......for some odd reason kids watch on their own TV which is iPlayer that's a minute or so behind

I have to put up with watching it with 2-3x tablets blaring in my ears with multiple kids programs.

Being soaked in a pub doesnt sound too bad.

And @Edmundo ;)

Sounds delightful sir.

I was going to do a BBQ before the other half mentioned she would do us a full brekkie at around 4pm.

Feels like a proper away day ;) In true @Fleet John style it will taste delicious. And then onto the main event of footy and #cans.

Will be in local by 2 , all the younguns will be in the garden watching on the big screen , lots of my age geezers will be inside in our normal spot which we have by 6 , next to DJ for a nice dance and sing song . The music will stop in time for the anthems then a roar you can hear from space will indicate the start of the game. ??????????????????

Woke up this morning disinterested and a little bit detached from it all but having driven a couple of hours listening to 5Live, definitely more up for it now. Will be at home though - it's not like it's a Brentford game is it?

Staying in - Going out

In Gran Canaria with the wife, big screen in hotel showing it so that’s a win! Couple to calm the nerves now. Might have a power nap at 4 then straight back on it xxx

Staying in - Going out

In Majorca for this , Police presence started to build last night even the Guardia Civil in attendance. Will watch in hotel as all inclusive .

So had to ask the Jock with his Scotland top on , why ? He said to prove a point , Ok I said but whatever happens today you’re still sh*t , He did laugh to be fair ??

Staying in - Going out

Will be in a lively Sports bar again in Pefkos where we watched the Dutch game and very few fans other than English will be in there. The incredibly funny other Brits in their Spanish tops will no doubt be in scattered other bars, let’s hope their beer is flat, they all get the Eartha Kitts and their holiday is well and truly ruined by an English win.
Come on England !!
