Best manager we've had. Unlike nearly everyone else I feel we had a pretty ropey squad of players. The lack of depth / players with injuries playing cost us in the end. To come so close in the situation he found himself is absolutely amazing.

I'm sure the Coppell backlash will start in some quarters and innuendo laden comments will be spouted; but just ask yourself:

Did you ever think we'd have the season we did?
Would you have stuck around if you were Coppell?

I think we all know the answer to those two questions.

Very interesting telephone interview with Coppell on Sky Sports News tonight where apart from rehashing all the reasons for his departure he staed that he and Ron talked this morning and our august chairman agreed that perhaps it was time that SC departed - so much for the "efforts" to keep Coppell or more likely they were yet again sabotaged from above.
