Kabba and Cort were panic buys by AS when last years loans went elsewhere. Cort is as mobile as a skip and Kabba proved as useful as the contents of a skip. Mistake made move them on

burton albion is a much better club for your skills. hope you stay there.....

Steve Kabba

Fall from grace!

When we signed Cort and Kabba I was more excited by the latter, but it turns out Cort, IMO, was a pretty good signing and could still prove useful for us this season whereas Kabba has struggled and didn't look like someone who had graced the Premier League in recent years to me!

Cheers Steve, hope things work out for you!

Steve Kabba

Good luck to him, just hasn't worked out for him with us but there is a decent enough player in there somewhere.

Steve Kabba

...........................good luck to the fella......................

Steve Kabba

Expect him to go on a goal scoring spree.

Steve Kabba

I see him as no more than a bit part player who can fill in off the bench.

He has missed the preseason and has started way behind the others and given that he had a terrible season last year too I worry that he has passed his best.

I wish I had been wrong and maybe a spell playing first team football will yet give him the sharpness and confidence to come back a better player but as of yet he has made no contribution to our season

He looked good against Bristol City (though not match fit), and showed some awareness at Southampton, but in his few appearances since he has looked disinterested and totally off the pace; and reports of his play in reserve matches have been negative.

Hopefully the loan will either restore confidence or be a wake-up call for him, but the fact that we're willing for him to be cup-tied suggests Andy doesn't see him back in the team quickly if he returns in late December

Steve Kabba

could be a good move for us if he gets regular football there, i dont think we have seen the best of him yet, he hasnt played at a higher level for no reason, i personaly think its because we dont play the right football for players of his quality. like some said in the new arsenal striker thread, why are we putting the ball in the air to a player who has come from a club who play the most attractive and technical football in the country. then hey we do it to the midget charlie to!!!!

Steve Kabba

Not really sure that Steve was given a fair chance to show what he could do....anyway good luck ......:sorted:

Steve Kabba

Still would of liked to have sen Cort and Kabba up front for at least 5 games in a row.

I know strevens has come back from injury and charlie is ill, but all this chopping and changing up front never has and never will produce CONSISTENT goals.

I like the look of strevens, and charlie is a decent player at this level because he links the play well, but kabba is a more on the shoulder of the defender kind of player ... which means inevitably he drifts out of games for long periods. But that kind of player could score 15 goals in League 1. Not sure Charlie without penalties ever would. :-)

Just my opinion!

Steve Kabba

Good luck Steve. You never know he could still work himself into the first team before the end of the season. This could be boost he needs.

Steve Kabba

Hadn't realised that Paul Peschisolido was the Burton manager. Ex-teammate of Kabba from Sheff Utd so I would imagine there's every chance he'll stay there if he plays ok.

Steve Kabba

Still think our best forward performance this season was against Bristol City with Weston & Kabba up front. Never tried again from the start. :(

Yes, they were both on sparkling form that night.
Kabba almost scored a sensational goal.
I felt sure they were lots of goals to come from him.
But sadly not...

Steve Kabba

Good luck to him, he looked completely disinterested last week against Walsall.

Steve Kabba

In Burtons squad for their cup game tomorrow.
AS clearly doesnt need him for the 3rd or 4th rd this year.

Steve Kabba

From the moment he missed that open goal v Bristol City I had a feeling he was going to be a sh*te signing :(

Steve Kabba

KABBA - gone for a Burton ?

Wow that's nice, and completley unjustified, he's done nothing wrong since he's been here, and I wish him luck and if he does come back I hope it works out for him here too.

Totally unnesccary, IMO, his career's gone downhill rapidly and he must be worried about what his future holds, if it continues like this. I wouldn't wish that upon anyone.

Maybe if you get demoted Steve can send you a nice message like that one. Actually he probably wouldn't as he has more class then that.

Steve Kabba

Played the full 90 on his own up front today, according to this report. I hope they were impressed.

Steve Kabba

Burton manager rates him and his debut performance (mind you, he started quite well for us?)--- go to Burton Albion on the BBC football website.

I wonder if they can afford his wages? He is on a reasonable Division One salary with us.

Let's hope he knocks in a few for them as it will be in our mutual interest to move him on.

It's what you would expect Peul Peskysolido to say..isn't it :confused:
What kind of football manager would come out in the press, and slate one of his players ? :fishing::sneakoff:

Steve Kabba

he didn't have to single him out one way or the other. how many of our team did as discuss by name at his press conference?

let's hope he knocks in a few for them ......

If we can offload Kabba we can get rid of anyone.

Steve Kabba

i am sure you are right.

but players have done well with one club and not another before now.

sometimes it is the player that doesn't fit, sometimes the system - and sometimes a player has to have a massive wake-up call.

Whay are some people openly hostile to their own players? I don't understand it, they will never play any better if they don't get a bit of backing.

Steve Kabba

I thought he would do better for us then he did i saw him play for the reseves a few times this sesason and he just didnt look up for it but goodluck to him at Burton!

Steve Kabba

......................looked good against Harrow Boro................

Steve Kabba

Looked fukced just doing the warm up in most matches

Steve Kabba

See he scored 2 goals today against Aldershot

he is awful and no where near good enough for league 1

maybe so, but whilst he is employed by BFC, the fans telling him this isn't going to help him play any better, worse in fact.

will make him consider leaving though. pretty sure we will see bennett, cort, kabba and possibly saunders leave in january in scott's clear out. wilson's loan may not be extended as he isnt getting a game atm.

Would keep Saunders, but the rest can go. Two new strikers, hopefully loans to continue and Bostock playing Centre Midfield.
