Steve Sidwell

I saw an article in a Sunday paper saying Charlton had offered £2m for Steve Sidwell. Apparently Everton are also interested.

I think he would definitely make it in the Premiership.

Steve Sidwell

I agree, I think he could do a good job in the Premier. Was voted as the best player outside the Premiership towards the end of last season.

Steve Sidwell

As we gave him his chance and earned him his move to Reading, do we get a sell on? ;)

Steve Sidwell

We get slammed in his biography 20 years from now. "Place was a shambles, being run by a maniac", that sort of thing. :sorted:

and I've got his last ever Bees home shirt ! :sorted: £££'s :bound:

:D

Bee H one of us has been had. Just before the play-off final they were selling off the first team shirts at a twenty quid a go as a new kit was coming out. My lad's hero was the ginger one so I bought his for him. Seems the genuine article not because of the sweat stains (!?) or the "Nationwide" patch on the sleeve but you can just make out under Sidwell's name the name of Caceras which had been peeled off. Remember when he played a couple of games on loan earlier in the same season and wore the same shirt. Where did you get your's from then ?

Steve Sidwell

In an effort to raise funds for Bees United I am reducing the asking price for the remaining sixteen "Last Ever Steven Sidwell Brentford FC Home Shirt".

The shirt comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by abee and Ace Face and there are genuine sweat stains and grass marks on each and every shirt.

Final clearance £40 per shirt. Don't miss out on this offer.......all proceeds to Bees United after deducting abee's expenses plus post and packaging of £39.91 per shirt.

Gossip in the Griffin was that Steve Sidwell was still in it when you grabbed his shirt.........that's what Ace Face was telling people anyway so I supposed it had to be true.......

What do you mean 'last sixteen'?

I have had nimble little fingers producing your order for three gross of these. Your order for the six dozen Ashley Bayes shirts will be ready next Tuesday, as will the dozen XXL Peter Beadle kits.

If you tell me that you no longer want these then Jon 'Knuckles' Bishop will be calling round again - right?

I rejected them as the Certificate of Authenticity was signed by Tommy Lawton...... :(

...............not even Bee H would fall for that........

Once again we make someone the player that they are and get them noticed, then get feck-all out of it. IT'S JUST NOT FAIR !!!

Are you avin a laugh?

Is e avin a laugh?

Steve Sidwell

I think he could easily make it at Spurs. He is so much better than that waste of space Jenas esp. on the evidence of last night.

He was very highly rated at arsenal and was being touted as new viera at one point. He was excellent for us when he moved to CM from right wing and it was obvious he would go to a bigger club. I do not think we made him what he is, he was always going to be too good for us and we were lucky to have him for a year.
Wenger did his usual, dump the english player and get some johnny foreigner in instead who can take the money for doing sod all. I hope he avoids arsenal and goes back to haunt them. Not sure the big 4 would want him, will probably end up at blackburn or newcastle.

Steve Sidwell

He'll probably end up at Celtic

They like a ginge or two

Steve Sidwell

sidwell is a class player.. when class players run fast, they seam to float, if you no what i mean... and steve floats.. just wish we had signed, and kept him longer ..:(

Steve Sidwell

He should show some loyalty and come back to Brentford.

After all, we did make him the player he was.

I reckon it was Winnie's attitude that gave him that edge to his game.

Steve Sidwell

Always knew he would go far my cousin played against him an under 10 ten tournament in a final.Sidwell was playing for a team called Colliers Wood United and even then his class and focus was obvious to see.

A fanstastic player to have had at GP and i believe he will represent his country at international level if his career continues like this.

Yet again a player of quality to have left for pittance :(

Steve Sidwell

Even if we'd had the money, I don't think he would have come once we had failed to get promotion

Steve Sidwell

i think it was less than £250,000 he went for actually.

just makes me think what could have been if we'd gone up-he'd definately of signed for us as he loved the club and followed coppell around everywhere else after we failed to win promotion.

jumping the gun here are you not?:confused:Coppell had already actually told Noades he wanted to leave much earlier on in the season, so there is no way on earth you can make that statement as all the players knew he was leaving.... didn't Sidwell leave for Belgium anyway and have that full season loan cut short...
