Summer 2016 Transfer Window
Now that our Championship status is preserved for a third consecutive season, who do we need to progress further?
Also, you have to consider that FIFA have CLOSED the emergency loan window so who we have from September 1st is who we will have until we can bring in re-enforcements on January 1st.
Here is a list of players signed up for next season.
Now, people have said that Marco Djuricin is not worth taking the option on but unless we can sign someone who has the experience of the Championship and all its battles then maybe he may be worth the punt. He does know the physicality of the Championship, and will have the hunger to prove to us that he is the player we got pre-injury.
We obviously know that Alan Judge is out until the end of the year more likely so what about Lasse Vibe in behind Scott Hogan? KK may even step up and with a seasons experience be the man we thought he would be and not what we think he currently is.
To bring in, I know Kemar Roofes value will have shot up and is no longer a 'buy low, sell high' prospect, but could he be a potential target if Oxford fail to get promoted? They currently sit in 3rd place but by no means are they assured of it. 2 Games to go, and they are 1 point above Bristol Rovers, and 3 above Plymouth Argyle. Oxford have Wycombe and Carlisle who have only just missed out on the play-offs and have nothing to play for - something we know takes the pressure off the players and they seemingly play better (look at Dagenham beating Plymouth yesterday 3-2). Some may even be playing for contracts next season.
Even Gillingham seem to be screwing up promotion, so what about going in for Bradley Dack? Gillingham have the awful task of having to come from being 1 point behind 6th placed Barnsley whilst also playing Burton who need to ensure they are automatically up, then Millwall on the final day who will want momentum going into the Play-Offs.
Do Walsall have enough about them to get up? A game in hand over Burton, yes, but Burton realistically only need 1 more win to secure Automatic Promotion, and they face Doncaster on the final day who will likely to have already been relegated after playing Gillingham. So could Dean Smith go in for some of the Walsall lads? He knows them, he knows their contract situation, and will know how to get the best out of them. Most seem to agree that Bradshaw would be a good fit, but what Sawyers?
Who else could Brentford bring in that could help us?
I realise that all the players I mentioned above will cost a nice sum in general, but I don't think we need a huge overhaul to be honest with you. We have Bjelland to come back in defence, we have a midfield that is starting to look good together, and hopefully with a pre-season we can work on the finer things.
Personally, with respect to the emergency loan loophole closing, we need a reserve GK (possibly a 1st team if Button leaves), a reserve LB to fight Bidwell for the spot. And possibly a fast attacking midfielder/striker to compliment who ever sits up top.

There's always some who will pick perspiration over inspiration! He's a class player that other players and journalists picked in their League 1 team of the year despite them not being in the top 2 places
