From the Observer - " it was difficult to tell which of these sides was in the Premiership and which was from League One, and the quality of football did not appear to be separated by two divisions. If anything, Brentford looked the better footballing side.... "

Everyone's probably read it already, but it made me happy!

Yeah, and this one from the Guardian today:
"On Saturday his [MA's] team were perfectly prepared, offering a vitality and a variety that was totally foreign to their Premiership opponents. And there was individual brilliance too..."
They made Sam Sodje their MotM

From today's Daily Mail:

"Brentford truly were a team. They built from the dominance of Sam Sodje at the back who won everything in the air to deny John Stead and Kevin Kyle....
In midfield Jay Tabb and Sam Tillen hassled and harried the Black Cats to distracion while alongside Campbell the giant Owusu held the ball up superbly and was never mastered by a Sunderland defence...."

Tony Francis in the Torygraph is following the path from Wembley to Wembley (or more like Cardiff). he began in the Extra-preliminary round at Wembley FC and has followed the winners of each tie and their subsequent opponents in the next round. last round he was with North. Vic then Sunderland who beat them and now us. Wembley (or Cardiff) here we come.

Love MA's quote in the Sun (no I don't read it bit a friend gave me the centre spread)."They're hungry. None of them have a lot of money. All of them have got crap cars. The boys here train like you'll never know. Their attitude is fantastic"

Great story from the Mail considering they hardly ever print anything about Brentford FC.

I think Michael Turner more than helped Sam deal with Stead and Kyle didn't he?

Bought the Sun today for the first time in yonks. Nice coverage of the Bees.

I must voice my displeasure though at the lack of nudity from Lynne in the George and Lynne cartoon. Needless to say, I shall not be buying this paper again.:nono:
