Went in with my 9 year old daughter to get her a replica top and shorts on Saturday. Thought it wouldn't be too expensive with my £20 voucher. With her name on the shirt it still came to £47. The shorts when I looked at the price as I got to the till were £21. If I hadn't of promised her the top and shorts and queue up to pay, I'd have told them to shove it. In fact I should of.. Won't make the same mistake next season..

Agree shorts are very expensive. Fortunately unlike the shirts they come up big and do for a number of seasons

£21 and you don't even get a proper embroidered badge!!

you don't get a proper one on shirts under 5's too - something to do with the material.. proper bad..

Is it BFC to condemn those sort of prices or is it the kit maker ?

Wrong whichever

I agree about the shorts I was shocked at the price but like sheerwater I had promised so was little I could do..did seem a bit mental that had I taken my laptop down there I could have ordered from inside the shop and had it done free...but the sponsorless shirt is quite cool..

They're promoting a 10% off one order online if ones signs up for "The Buzz" newsletter.
It's on the website and the superstore's web site.
I've been waiting for four weeks (!!) now, as I wanted to spend quite a bit and never got a reply. Send the club a couple of mails, no reply as well.
I'm so fed up, I'm going to keep my money now.

Poor show, Brentford. :(

Genuinely don't understand people paying out these exorbitant prices, then moaning about it afterwards. If you don't want to pay it, tell 'em to keep it. If they can't sell things, it's inevitable the price will come down. £71 for a kid's shirt indeed.

Explain that you are not paying the ridiculous prices they are charging for the rubbish,, and offer to make it up to them at christmas (optional as to whether you do, they'll have forgotten by then). Whats the worst the kids going to do, sulk for a day?

If people keep paying BFC and Adidas will keep selling this crap for daft prices. You only have yourselves to blame.

Entirely agree with you but understand how hard it is to disappoint a child/grandchild having made the commitment to buy.

I wonder which is the more valuable life lesson for them, always keep your promises or never let anyone rip you off? Not easy.

Think the offerings in the club shop are generally extremely poor and expensive. Luckily i'm of the opinion that most men over thirty years old and/or who don't have the build of a racing snake (and I qualify very easily on both counts!!) wearing replica shirts look daft and as I detest either myself or my family being ripped off it's an easy choice for me.

one of the most valuable life lessons i had from my dad was not to throw around the word "promise" too loosely :)
so, i guess, don't promise something and then moan about it. if you promise it, you're in, it's a done deal.
but these prices do sound ridiculous, and i'm sure we're not making the ripped-off feel any better here either!! (sorry!)

I only go into the club shop at the end of season when they discount like mad.. I then adjust my weight to fit either xxl xxxl or xxxxl depending on what's I offer. Simple solution

Adidas have to be the worst for the tack they chuck out, embroidered badges on nothing but the home and away shirts.
I have brought nothing but these since we left puma.
Until we get rid of Adidas i won't be buying anything from the club shop, for the money i expect a embroidered badge, i will carry on wearing my puma gear which still looks good and was certainly value for money.
Adidas will be getting none of my money.

Weird. There's a fella called Chris who works there and he always responds very quickly to emails. Never had a problem on that score, at all.

I like the purple ones, but they are for staff only. :(

I also bought the duvet set ( for kids) which apparently doesn't come with a pillow case unlike the 1992 & 95 versions!

Hi all. Would one of you techie chaps help calm my mind please. I just ordered some baby gear for my new great nephew from the club shop. I have never done this on line with them before so had to register first. I placed my order and went through the payment process. As soon as I clicked on Pay my computer turned itself off and on and started to whir away nineteen to the dozen until the normal start screen came up. I've never experienced anything like that when paying for stuff online before. Could this be anything to worry about? I have since received an email from the shop confirming my order has indeed been processed. Thanks in advance for any comments. RB.

I don't think there's anything to worry about.
even though my sons kit cost a fortune I was impressed with the quality,no iron on badge, the boot bag was very good and the duvet came with a pillow!

I think it is the card validation process going on; it is checking if you have a secondary validation set up. If you have not, it thinks about it for a moment and then carries on.

I hear that the numbers/letters are already falling off some people's shirts. :grey:

Riddle me this: the names I've seen on the back of fans' shirts are printed straight across. Yet the names on the backs of the players' shirts are printed in an arc. Surely the club should pay attention to this sort of detail...
