Switching home ends again?

This is just a poll to see who is in favour of moving back to Brook Road and who isn't. I know it doesn't matter to a lot of people what end the home fans are housed but what would you prefer for personal reasons, financial reasons or atmosphere? I stand in Ealing Road and would prefer to move back to Brook Road better atmosphere and I just preferred it there you could get the whole ground rocking. What about you?

......................Ealing Road for me......................

Switching home ends again?

How about both ends for home fans and the away fans shunted up the back of New Road at the Hate Corner end:fishing:
Notts County done somehing similar after getting outsung all the time at home when away fans had the big terrace behind the goal.

Or is the schance to stand on terracing a pull factor for away fans?

I really prefer the sound and atmosphere in Brook road but the bar area is crap.

Switching home ends again?

not this again!!

our home support is sh*t and noone would sing wherever they get put. ealing road is a decent home end with the roof on now and still people moan and don't go there.

why not move the goals to new road and braemar and give the away fans the braemar as it seems impossible for any noise or atmosphere to be made from that stand. :sorted:

ealing road for me with my son ,also much better view there for little ones

Knock down the wendy house and those crap flats, rebuild The Oak and move back to Brook RD. I know, I know i'm dreaming again.:sorted:

Switching home ends again?

Actually why don't we do that instead of moving. Offer double market value for the flats, re-build a decent home end and from memory there was still lots of room behind The Oak. Just a thought, must be cheaper than building new soulless new ground.

i agree with bostonhanwell 10000000000%

make it happen Mr Benham

Somebody mentioned "hate corner" what was it?

Switching home ends again?

Excuse me , i am just having a nostalgic daydream. Loosen up dude and let yourself go with it.;)
OK, I'll see you on the terraces... I'm the one with the flask of Bovril, flat cap and whippet. ;)

Ealing Road but please make the tuck shop a beer stop again.

We should maxermise away support more, let them go in the new rd. and move a divide thingy across the seats with a row of stewards...

so for example if soton come .. give them all newroad
if hartlepool bring 200 move the divide towards brook rd

Entrance.... away support only come in New rd
..... home support come in breamer and walk to new rd

But this way, we get BOTH ends behind the goal
plus we can give a bigger allocation to bigger clubs.
. of course it would have to be well stewerd'ed
but other clubs do the same thing.

Couldn't they just go through the turnstile nearest to New Road via Ealing Road rather than walking around half of the ground?

Brook road is the place to be at GP. Upper has the best view and lower the best atmosphere. Ok it's dingy and you don't get a great view of the pitch but it's much louder and more intimidating for the away players.

Totally agree with that.

I didnt think we are allowed to use that one, but im not sure .. Even Ealing rd supporters dont come in behind Ealing rd.

I really cant see the problem it works for other clubs .. ie. Stockport, swindon spring to mind straight away

You mean they basically go in through the ER enterace by Braemar and walk past ER to NR? Think I've got it. :sorted:

Feck me ! A chance to vote in a poll ! Didn't get a chance last time.....

I propose that if it's possible to modify the terracing in BRL so that it is steeper, a major obstacle to moving back there (sh*t view) will be removed.

Surely it would be a good thing to regather the BRU and BRL singers and shouters together again ? I suspect that most of BRU are spread around the ground now and rarely get involved when Ealing Road attempt to outsing and outshout the oppo.

Switching home ends again?

Would love to see the home fans move back to BR, but can't see it happening.

Switching home ends again?

no no and no again. how many people complain about the new road facilities at the moment? brook road is as bad. remember the ridiculous queues at half time for the bar/food shack/toilets? remember the two great big pillars in the middle of the stand blocking the view? wouldn't reworking the steps to be steeper cut the capacity a bit (i'm assuming there would be less steps overall)? was the atmosphere ever actually that much better, i dont remember it being so. away fans in decent numbers will always outsing the home fans, regardless of the stand, so long as its roofed of course. you want noise? sing a bit louder, get some chants going that arent only going to be sung by the turds of the BYE, gently encourage people around you to join in too :sorted:

i'd much rather be able to see the game, get a bit of sun on me (the two games a season its actually sunny that is), be able to get out of the ground quickly, and access the club shop and the braemers facilities pre-game and at half time, then worry about what is in effect a very few decibels of sound. also concur with the post above about selling beer bottles again in the ealing shack instead of sweets which scarcely anybody used last season from what i saw.

Switching home ends again?

Looks like staying at ER is people's preferred choice at the moment.

Switching home ends again?

I know some people dont want to move back to BR because of view and it being cramped but cant they do something about that last time before the game you could walk round to brook road from bramear before the game?

I'm hardly a little 'un, but I happened to watch the Tranmere game* from the Brook Road terrace and it reminded me just how poor the view is compared with the Ealing Road.

So now it's covered, it's the ER for me all the way. :sorted:

* - Should anyone be wondering, one of my oldest mates is from Birkenhead, he brought a load of mates along for this game, we were drinking in the Griffin until kick-off, I couldn't be arsed walking round the other end of the ground on my own.

Switching home ends again?

hope not, Just bought an ealing road season ticket.

anyone know what the vouchers (voucher a, b, c etcetc) are for?

thanks for your help though.

Switching home ends again?

The view from the Brook Road terrace is awful and I can't believe that people want to move back there.

Switching home ends again?

I'm hoping that they knock the Wendy house down and start again:)
