Playing for our development squad today. that's one I wasn't expecting!

Still only 28! Hasn't done much since that one great season with Wolves a few years ago. Although a short term deal on a free transfer could be pretty risk free.

Is Ebanks-Blake a free agent? Or is his still attached to Ipswich Town?

Why would we play him in our development if it was just to help with his fitness? Surely that would be blocking the move for one of our own players who may actually feature for us one day.

Devlin said trial...I'll go with that for now, makes more sense in the circumstances.

we need another body up up, Blake could be the mostcost effective answer.he also has a great record 90 goals in 290 games

Huh? Never heard that one before, a striker doing lots of 'unseen' work. He has been average so far, but Ebanks Blake has scored 20+ goals in a season at this level and 7 in 30 in the Prem (mostly from the bench). Think he would be a great addition if fit.

He was training with Oldham for several weeks. Lost three stone in weight.

Then turned down a contract offer.

I've always like him, really could be a great asset for us, if he's given a deal till the end of the season..

No disrespect meant of course but possibly had other trials lined up, such as with us. Playing a higher division with would assume a better wage.

I have no problem with this at all.

Gray looks to be improving every game but I'm yet to be that impressed by big Nick and see Smith as more of a winger plus issues regarding his fitness.

A free transfer with experience of this division and a proven scoring record to boot.

Wouldn't be unhappy if we signed him.

Managed to score 14 Championship goals in Wolves' relegation season. :shrug:

He still looked a little overweight to me but good finish. Don't expect we're interested but wouldn't be against it in theory although he plays in a very similar manner to Andre Grey.

Probably offered more than we will but when he factored in his heating bills he thought better of it

Very good at Wolves a few years ago, thought he was a pretty decent striker, think his record was about 1 goal every 3 games, but can't say I've heard his name mentioned for a while, no idea what happened to him.
Interesting one, wouldn't say no I suppose but do wonder what he's like now days.

Still hope for me then if you can lose three stone and then get a game. He is only 5' 8, must have been as wide as he was tall!

Think he was very unlucky with injuries for a year or two. If im not mistaken he was injured the year after they won promotion back to the prem. Plus it never helped with wolves having their big crash back to L1

Hit a doorman with his girlfriends handbag 6 years ago and got fined . I think I can live with that !

if he was any good he would still be at wolves

I like the way Brentford are doing things at the moment
buy them young hope they improve and from what we have all seen most of them have
and maybe make a few quid to balance the books

you don't balance the books with an old has been
