Pay to listen interview with TB (which should be free to air of course) on Beesworld. Anyone care to tell us if anything interesting?

Apparently he says he thinks we should merge with QPR or Fulham.

He just sits there for 2:30 shouting SELL! SELL! SELL! BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE, SELL!! And then breaks down in tears.

Merge or ground-share? The latter might be acceptable in some circumstances, but the former equals death to the club and I'm worried if a person in a key role in the club sees that as a way forward

Hamer and Basey have to go back as their clubs want them.
Trying to get another month for Pettigrew.
Will try to fill the two empty slots with two new players - i am assuming loans but he did say something about using the money to bring in new faces too.

He is very confident of turning around our current form as he has seen the players character in training and also these are the same players who got good results at the start of the season. Be patient only ten games into the League 2 marathon and we are at our first "water break".

Does he say when the players have to go back?

Hamer should be in goal for us and not going back, now that we have binned him and Simon Cox will Reading be that keen to help us out again?

also concerned about the need to keep Pettigrew, was he injured on Saturday, or did TB drop him......either way, he would be no great loss imho

We didn't let in so many goals when Pettigrew was playing the holding role in midfield :fishing: We have far too many centre backs and centre midfielders to need to loan either, especially when we are desperately short of options upfront. It's an admission that the ones we have are not good enough and the current management decided to sign many of them. I find it strange that we've signed so many players to make sure we don't concede too many and yet we find ourselves letting 3 in at home 3 games in a row

thats my point, Pettigrew does a job, but when TB and AS have already committed the budget to other players to do this, then keeping him simply smacks they are admitting they got it wrong. At the end of the day if we have a poor season, I would at least prefer some entertainment at the right end of the pitch, surely a young Prem loanee would be of some use (or after hearing John Toshack mention him, Jermaine Easter for a month...?)

I thought the interveiw was a load of bollox. Nothing I havn't heard before

There might not have been much in the way of new news, but what else did you really expect him to say?

So if Hamer is going back and Masters is still on loan at Welling are we getting a new keeper in or will they use Seb Brown as Simon Browns back up?

Is Seb Brown still out on loan too?

I was shocked to hear him mourn the loss of Booker.

Booker or Brooker? If the latter, I was near to mourning his departure when I saw Shakes's performance in a recent home game (think it was Stockport)

Reading will only want Hamer back cos hes not been first choice.Much better keeper than Brown.Pettigrew could easily be sacrificed for a decent striker on loan

Decent strikers tend not to be available as they usually get in their own teams. We may pick up a young loan player who is untried at senior level but has scored goals at youth level, at best. whether they then turn out to be decent is anyones guess.

The key is to find a loaning club who won't mind their player sitting on the bench at times. If the rest of our team sort themselves out then Thorpe and Connell look useful but if it's not working we have no options to change it :(

Haven't we already got some of them? We need a solid defender, quickly. Pettigrew isn't it. Would also like a commanding midfielder who knows how to pass the ball about. Early 30s preferable.

I'm not sure that we should write off Pettigrew on a couple of bad games, where he has played alongside 3 different players having played 3 previous games as a holding midfielder, where he looked solid too. Can we get away with Heywood & Mackie together, both are slow and appear injury prone and imho no better than Pettigrew. :fishing:

TB interview on Beesworld.

I'm not writing him off based on a couple of bad games, I'm writing him off based on him having got progressively worse since he joined us. He came in looking like a Chelsea star in the making and has now reached pre-season Karleigh Osborne levels.
I'd like to see Karleigh and Heywood in at CB at the moment as they're both performing well. KOC at right back. The mystery is left back. Swap Pettigrew for a decent second-string LB from a Championship side perhaps if one's available.

Wanted: LB, GSOH, NS for GFE ;)

Really? I must of missed it. ;)

We were saying at the Dagenham game I think it was Pettigrew brings memories of Kitimarike. On loan form Chelsea, looked good at first, after a spell with us where he got progressively worse where is he now?

Must be our quality coaching as ever!! :D

Ludicrous decision by TB to replace Hamer with Brown IMHO. Could have a major influence on where we end up at the end of the season.

Pettigrew was doing a decent job as holding M/F. Why change it ??? Oh my Buddha, how long has this nonsense to continue.....
