would be quite weird if we played this team versus reading, as the thread topic states.... imagine the consequences

look, royal muppet, you look at the team i put out... this is our team without possibly two of the most influential players in it, our sweeper gavin mahon, and captain paul evans.... however, the back 5 is solid as a rock, the midfield contains an iceland international, a former french u-18 captain and a premiership target... and our strikers are poor

sh*t defence? Look at our record since the Millwall game and I think you'll find we haven't let in a goal in the league since:

Stoke (a) - 0-0
Bristol Rovers (h) - 1-0
Port Vale (h) - 1-0

Not great goalscoring form, but Butler will start this game and probably score agianst you. And don't count out Cureton either.

Yes, ok we were poor for a 15 minute period against Millwall and they slaughtered us for it. Thats what quality teams do. And we gave away a stupid penalty and Harris collected his hat-trick. But, if it wasn't for Harris we would have been evenly matched. We played superbly for the first 15 and should have scored but for a bit of luck. Since then Pardew has changed things round and we've been creating the chances but not sticking them away. Butler has been on the bench and Rougier up front which isn't his strongest position. If Pardew plays Rouge on the left he will slaughter your right back as he is one of the most skilful players in this division. If Pards plays his cards right and the teams plays as a unit I can't see the Bees winning this one.
