not sure that i care who plays as long as we score 1 more than the opposition - but boy do we need 3 points. that will put us second with the next round of games involving Southend v Colchester and Barnsley v Swansea.

This is the time to make points count. A very very disappointing result yesterday not to get even a point.

PS - the team suggested looks decent enough though! Brooker should be put on the bench to contemplate the waste of possession yesterday. the boy has talent and ability - but should have been more direct when in on goal. Is he Paul Stephenson in disguise.

This league is there for the taking if the team wants it. the fans do!

Team For Doncaster

When do the Eire U-21's play as I cant find any fixture listed?

Team For Doncaster

Tabby's absence will hurt us as he was the only one near normal form yesterday. We really need some points: minimum 6 from the next 3 away if we're to harbour thoughts of automatic promotion

Team For Doncaster

Pratley's not looking either match fit or on form at the mo, but with Tabby out we'll have to opt for him and Newman. I expect MA to stick with Brooker as it's not his style to hang players out to dry.. equally Rankin's no winger and Rhodes probably isnt ready for a full 90..

Nelson

KOC (please, we really missed him)
The real Sodje, not the one that turned up Sat
Turner
Framps

Brooker (after some intensive shooting and crossing training today and mon)
Newman
Pratley
Tillen

Owusu
Willock

Subs: Bankole, Gayle, Mousinho, Peters, Rhodes

Team For Doncaster

Nelson
O Connor Turner Sodje Frampton
Newman Lewis Tillen Brooker
Willock Rhodes

Subs Bankole, Mousinho, Pratley, Peters, Owusu.

I don't think there will be wholesale changes.

If O'Connor is fit he will play and I would imagine Tabb and Gayle will also be out, on international duty and knackered respectively.

I would go with this:

Nelson

O'Connor
Turner
Sodje
Frampton

Brooker
Newman
Pratley
Tillen

Rankin
Owusu

Subs: Bankole, Willock, Rhodes, Mousinho, Gayle

Team For Doncaster

Nelson
O'Conner Sodje Turner Frampton
Pratley Brooker Newman Tillen
Rhodes Willock

Bankole Hutchinson, Peters, Owusu, Osborne.

Any team with Owusu and Rankin as a "Strike ???" force are going to win nothing

Rankin is overweight, slow, lacks a first touch and is becoming more clueless by as the weeks go by.

Owusu has had his best days - He may look better if we had someone to run on to any touch on he manages to win but at the moemnt thats Rankin and Nigel Brooks would be quicker.

Good, solid, promotion seeking teams do not lose like we did on Saturday

Team For Doncaster

because he's had positive reactions to poor performances before
MA surely won't make wholesale changes on tuesday but if we lose feebly
to doncaster there must be a pretty decent chance that you will
see rhodes and willock leading the line against gillingham

Umm might not - Barnsley are away to Bournemouth on Tuesday...

pedant.

did you not know that i have a crystal ball and Bomo will win 1-0 (Hayter pen).

Bees to win 2-0.

but when do we get to see a real go by the £50k rated Willock?

Team For Doncaster

This is the team that I'd personally play with Tabb away on international duty, have Newman in reserve on the bench with 'George', Rankin, Gayle and Brooker.

Nelson

KOC Sodje Turner Framps

Rhodes Lewis Pratley Tillen

Owusu Willock

same here, but Newman not Lewis in the team...

Tabb is definitely in the Irish U21 squad

Team For Doncaster

Peters over Willock, cos Callum doesn't look like someone whose going to get us a goal away on a tuesday night some how.

Rhodes on the bench will also be useful for MA to shove on at half time or when the defence are tired.

More Willock abuse????? How do people know? Have I missed something.

Team For Doncaster

More likely the sort of game that Willock will give them problems. Reckon he will start.

Team For Doncaster

Nelson

Kev - Sodje - Turner - Framp

Brooker - Rankin - Newman - Tillen

Owusu - Willock

Subs: Bankole, Rankin, Pratley, Gayle, Mousinho.

Tabb is in u21 RoI squad.

First & foremost, I'd want a strong, physical side that works it knackers off to at least get a point & ideally snatch a win.

So deffo Lloyd up front to get hold of the ball & take the pressure off the defence.

I assume we haven't seen much of Willock because he's been on some sort of "beasting" training programme the last couple of weeks. Time to unleash the beast!

Hope Kev is fit, we need good passers like him to keep possession. Assume Tabby is with U-21 side.

----------Nelson----------

Kev--Sodje--Turner--Framps

Rankin---Pratley--Newman---Tillen

-----Owusu-----Willock-----

Subs: George, Mousinho, Hutch, Gayle, Rhodes

Having said that, I wouldn't be all that shocked if MA stuck Hutch back in for in a game like this one, played Pratley wide & Rankin up front, Willock to come on & win it 2nd half.

Not when i just looked at the FAI website. Also, he can still be eligible because the cut off date is 1st September, thus if JT was 21 or under on 1/9/2005, he is eligible to play U-21 footie for the whole season. What i do not know about is the full details on how sometimes over-age players are allowed. That may be only for friendlies - i am not sure.

My two-penn'orth.

Nelson
O'Connor Turner Sodje Frampton
Tabb Pratley Lewis Tillen
Rhodes Owusu

Subs
Big George, Newman, Willock, Rankin, Mousihno

The keeper and the back line tends to pick itself.

Sorry to Brooker fans but I do rather feel that he used up his last get-out-of-jail card on Saturday. I know dropping him will only worsen his already dodgy confidence (witness his pass to Marcus rather than shooting) but I do not believe we can take the risk.

Equally, no Gayle IMHO but only because if we spent £40k-ish on Willock he must have something to offer, so lets see it.

Team For Doncaster

On looking at my offering again, my only worry would be lack of 'steel' in midfield. Maybe Newman for Lewis and Hutch on the bench instead of Mousihno? Whaddya reckon??

Team For Doncaster

nothing about Tabby missing on our site or BBC

Team For Doncaster

i hope MA sends out a side to win

brentford have to forget last saturday
and stay focussed on automatic promotion

we will probably need to win 10 of our remaining 14
fixtures to finish first or second. with the top six so competitive
this year even that's not certain

draws are almost as bad as defeats

the way brentford perform over the next three games will i
think determine whether we are going to regain control of the situation
and get out of this league or whether we are destined for
yet another year division one

three away games. three cup finals.
we need to win all three

Team For Doncaster

i was assuming it would be on BBC London, so a bit of research on your behalf, sussexbee, has produced the following v.v.v.gay result

Emma and Phil will be presenting their show from the Matchroom Stadium Brisbane Road where Leyton Orient take on Barnet in their crucial League two London derby.

Emma and Phil will have full exclusive FM commentary on the match on BBC LONDON 94.9FM, plus you can also listen to the match on BBC LONDON digital radio and our new Sky Channel 0152.

They will also have reports and updates from the rest of the matches involving our local sides including from League one Doncaster against Brentford and from Loftus Road the friendly international between Trinidad and Tobago and Iceland.

Team For Doncaster

it is a shame considering the 35 fans who give a sh*t about either of those gypsy clubs will be at the game whereas the army of Brentford fans who'll be stuck down south having resisted the urge to brave the grim north will now be stranded without radio coverage :mad2:
