Would like that Les,but then......I would also like it if he came on for last 30 minutes,when they are kernackered and run rings round them,score 2 goals and then we all go back to the pub smiling even more.....just a thought!!

I can't see anything wrong with the 11 that started on Saturday, maybe Jota or Swift for Canos, that's all.

That does seem to be rather odd; I thought he really looked good in the middle, neat and tidy, kept things moving smartly and pushing forward.

Yes I agree with Woods. He was unfortunate on his debut but his improvement since has been great once he adjusted to chapionship football. He is one for the future, neat control , good on the ball and I still hope we can fit him in when everyones back from injury

I wouldn't actually but I picked players based on how mental they'd go if they scored. Hence picking Vibe, Kerschbaumer and Jota from the start.

Like that but would go with Woods over Mac. I would not start with Swift, fit or not.

This isn't the team I think will start, it's the 11 I'd go with.
Bit harsh on Serge and KK after Saturday but think Swift can create through the middle and Judgey one side, Jota the other can create havoc breaking at speed to join Lasse.

I notice we tend to put Woods in front of NY and a more creative player like Swift in front of JB I guess to help NY bed in, along with Judge playing No.10 I can only see one extra creative midfielder playing this game (on LHS)

I like this team, I fear that we will line up more defensively than this though.

Cant see josh starting just yet. No KK not even on the bench? I think it will be KK or Macca for josh with Gogia dropping off the bench for the one not in the starting 11.

Personally, would rather Swift didn't play. Always feel he gives the ball away too much and puts us under too much pressure.

Same as last week. If canos is struggling Jota comes in. Important we have pace and attacking threat.

Swift on the bench instead of Gogia too.

Fulham are likely to be a tougher challenge than MKDons but there's something to be said for not changing a winning team, particularly for a new manager, even if on paper we could make a lot of changes to have what looks like a stronger starting line up.

That leaves an immensely classy and varied bench from which to call without risking the careful work of the past few weeks under Carsley, continued at the weekend by Smith.

Dropping McCormack was an enforced choice but one which came at just the right time. We need to see whether we can cope with having just 2 more defensive midfielders and we need to see if Woods has properly adjusted to being in an upper Championship team. If we can't cope without a third defensive midfielder, it makes freeing up space for McEachran and Jota difficult. If Woods can't do the job so that we are reliant on Mac & Toums, it means we need to be looking to acquire another defensive midfielder as at the very least we'll need cover. I think we probably don't need to see Woods/Mac/Toums together too much more often in midfield.

Then Smith can fine tune the introduction of Colin for Nico, Jota for Canos, McEachran for KK etc, with Mac as able to come on for Woods/Toums (or for Nico, with either Woods or him moving to RB), Hofmann either for Vibe as a straight swap or for KK/Canos if we go 442. The possibilities are endless. Just need to make sure we don't concede early and spoil it!
