I think we need somebody who can play the ball better alongside Woods to make us less predictable and someone who can press high up the pitch better.

Not good at this. In my naive world long to see 3 up front somehow. 1 goal in 4 games won't help us at Loftus Road.

Yep, this for me as well, but with MacLeod down the middle just behind Hogan.

Not sure how, based on recent performances, we are going to provide any sort of service for Scott H, and he is the only player who seems capable of doing so. I believe that either of Josh McE or KK should start as they probably won't give possession away as others have been doing regularly? 4-1-4-1

I like that team. Plus Saunders and Hoff on the bench. I know it's only QPR but may as well have 7 subs just in case.

Can we have Hogan starting in the middle or at least moving along their back four? Not out on the touchline like at Newcastle. Last season we started with Judge up front on his own so surely some smarter tactics this time.

Two young, fearless, pacy, skillfull players to really go at the Raras defence and provide much needed support for an often isolated Hogan!

Don't understand why plenty of people have dropped Barbet out. He was fantastic at derby and has looked much more comfortable there than Bjelland and that's not saying he was poor there but just looked as though he didn't have the pace. It's a tough decision on the centre halves but that's what DS is paid for!!

I was in 2 minds but Egan must start imho , Bjelland is too good not to play and Dean has been very good this season . Its a tough one alright

He had a mare at Loftus Road last year. Anyway, hypothetical.

Let's get back that defensive shape we had at the start of the season, with a compact back seven (keeper + 4 + 2 holding), and keep our initial focus on our discipline in that area, whilst thinking of picking them off on the counter, like against Brighton. Must have Bentley, Egan, Dean, Woods and Yennaris at the heart of that.

This would be my choice but with Bentley between the sticks. ?

It's a massive risk that might just work or might be an absolute calamity, it feels like a sh*t or bust option and it's not a must win one off game but it is a can't lose game?
I'd be a bit more cautious and definitely start with one of them but I'm a wimp.

I'd be more concerned with getting that defensive shape right to start with, and keeping discipline, much like against Brighton and other early season games, but not like Newcastle and some other recent performances. We should frustrate and suck the life out of them, pick them off on the counter with Sawyer's passing and Hogan's pace, and grow into the game as a result.

Dunno about the team but according to getwestlondon this morning we have a new manager. They have a poster advertising the game showing JFH and Jokanovic side by side :) :) Its on their website now and also on Brentford Loyal website :) :)

I think Dean tried that against Barnsley and failed miserably (or that's what it looked like with Saunders starting on the right). :p
OK it didn't help that performances from that attacking three weren't great but I think we're hamstringing ourselves if we don't have any runners behind Hogan.
I think we should be positive and play Clarke and then it's just a case of picking the left winger (assuming Sawyers is still the number 10 - and you don't give MacLeod a go there).
