Team v Blackburn

Another tough game on Sat. Looks like JDS will be back in contention but major doubts re Jansson, Jensen and Mbuemo. Another 3 game week so definitely worth mixing things up and giving players a little extra rest. 11 that finished the game at Birmingham looked excellent so would go with them unless Mbuemo is fit again in which case he'd come in ahead of Fosu, Blackburn likely to keep it tight so would go for more attacking options on the bench than normal.

Raya, Dalsgaard, Jeanvier, Pinnock, Henry, Norgaard, Baptiste, Marcondes, Benhrama, Watkins, Mbuemo (Fosu)

Subs: Daniels, Roerslev, Racic(Pontus), DaSilva, Dervisoglu, Fosu, Valencia (Zamburek)

Probably pretty close. Suspect Da Silva will get nod ahead of Baptiste if no issues in training

Josh was below par before his injury and badly in need of a rest.So I'd put Josh on the bench and start Baptiste. Marcondes for Jensen who can't be fit surely? If Bryan can't start then Fosu..We need to restore energy.
As for Pontus? If he's fit it's a difficult one. Personally I'd leave Jeanvier in and give Pontus more time. The DoFs have done a great job in January. Without the incomings we would probably start to struggle.

Sorry i have been off work so not seen anything since sat .

Thought Pontus was back sat ?
how serious Jenson and Mbuemo ?

Not sure about dropping Josh (depends on how he's looking in training), although agree we need to give Baptiste & Fosu more game time to get them up to speed for the final run-in......over to you TF.

I would call it resting. Josh has been heavilly worked and was never rested in the 3 games in a week scenario. He began to look flat and was out on his feet before he got whacked.A lot of teams will start to struggle on the run in. Josh could make a major impact off the bench and I'd expect him to regain his place in due course. Josh is a top player but not if he's misfiring and Baptiste is a quality replacement.

LDS had 1 or 2 bad halves , wouldn't say he was that out of form personally

More looking flat and dropping off his level. Josh is a terrific player and we will need all our squad at top level through the run in. Replacing quality on the day with quality off the bench and between games is what we need. I can't believe Leeds will be able to sustain their current energy level. Let's see how they deal with the last half dozen games.TF has got an excellent mid batch to choose from even without Jensen and Mojo.

exactly, we have to utilise the full squad if we want to remain in the hunt. There's three games next week and I'm sure JDS will start at least one of them as will Pontus if fit. Nice problem to have!

There were concerns Brum was too early for Baptiste but he well and truly buried that on Saturday. So, I would start with him not JDS and hopefully Mbuemo. It would be SO great if Pontus was back. We are missing him as much for his comfort in playing out from the back as for his defending. Indeed, on the latter Julian has been a pretty good replacement.

Just the one change Bryan for Jenson even if Jenson is fit.

I'd probably go for this or something very similar.

Great to hear Mbuemo is fit. Hopefully short break with see him firing on all cylinders again. At least we now know we’ve got a strong attacking option to replace him in Fosu..

This was the game Pontus was due to be back for, looking unlikely I would have thought.

I don't know. There was no news on Mbuemo and he wasn't in training pics but it appears he's back tomorrow. Could be a surprise! I'd imagine we might hold him off for games later in the week though especially given JJ has done so well recently.

Thomas said in the interview he was starting.

Same side as last week but Mbuemo for Marcondes and Dasilva for Jensen if fit.

Really hoping Pontus is available soon, Jeanvier has done well in his absence but Pontus/Pinnock combo is a notch above.

Team v Blackburn

No, I want Marcondes to play in Jenson role and Bryan moving back to his normal position. Hence one change to last weeks starting 11.

I know :sorted:

Interview with Baptiste on the OS today. Suggests he’ll probably start tomorrow too.
