The elelphant in the room is Marcondez. How up to speed is he? DaSilva looks shot. Maybe Valencia or Zamburek swaps for EM.

Been dropped through the niggling injury twice in recent matches. He's probably quite relieved that a capable understudy in Julian J is available - did very well in those 2 games.

Given Pontus will have the weekend off I can't see any reason not to play him Wednesday! Hopefully, Christian will be fit enough as well.

If Norgaard not fit then possible Marcondes starts in advanced midfield role. Mokotjo in defensive midfield and probably Jensen over Da Silva. We need fresh legs in midfield and probably too early for Zamburek to start a game in that position. Zamburek May though start in front three instead of enrahma or Mbeumo. Defense picks itself with Jeanvier possibly replacing Pontus.

Would bring Halilly and Fross into the mix, maybe Marcondas also, freshen it up.

Forss hasn’t been recalled, so how can he come “into the mix”?

EM might be a sub, as could Halil, as long as all paperwork has cleared.

Based purely on the evidence on the last match I sincerely hope he'll at least warrant a place in the matchday squad, we certainly need fresh legs and minds in midfield and up top. If we're going to get something from tomorrow's game we need a greater urgency and quality, particularly as the congested schedule has noticeably physically drained a few of our existing starting XI.

Hopefully I am wrong but I was led to believe that we can't even apply for international clearance until the first of January which is a public holiday, so therefore the second, which means that it is quite likely that it won't come through in time for Stoke.
