Team v Crawley

It needs a serious change up. The performances just aren't good enough at the moment.

I'd go for:

........................ Moore ...........................

....... Dean ........ Legge ........ Craig .........

Logan ......................................... Bidwell
....................... Douglas ..........................
........ Adeyemi ............... Forshaw ...........

............... El Alagui .................................
............................... Forrester ................

3 Central defenders with Logan and Bidwell playing more of an attacking role pinging in the crosses for Farid to knock down to Forrester to take on the last defender and tuck it away.
Just feel we need to try youth and pace up front so why not give Harry a try. Simple tactics Uwe so listen, YEAH? x

No way that's to defensive.stick to 442 with Harry and Fredericks on the wing with forshaw in the middle with kev and Donaldson upfront with Hayes or Farid

Team v Crawley

moore
logan dean craig bidwell
fredericks kev forshaw forrester
hayes fea

kev will be the more defensive of the two central midfielders covering for forshaw who would be getting forward as much as possible. hayes would be slightly behind farid to pick up the ball and play farid in, farid staying very central and in the box as much as possible. forrester and fredericks would be wingers and sticking to the wings instead of swapping over every five minutes. we will then win, its that easy :sorted:

That would be my side, unless our director of football can break away from his other jobs and get a young prem/championship striker in on loan who l would play instead of Farid.

Dont think it will make any difference tbh although I would like to see Forrester and Fredericks start. For me its about tactics and formation. If F + F start we have half a chance, buts its about Uwe now stepping up.

Team v Crawley

Moore

Logan Craig Dean Bidwell

Fredricks Forshaw KOC Harry

Farid CD

Simple 4-4-2.

Tell Fred & Harry to work their bo*%ocks off, get to the byline and cross it.
KOC to sit deeper and tidy up. Forshaw to link with the forward player.
Farid to get in the box and give the centre halves a headache and CD to play in the same postcode as his partner.
Tell Douglas to pull his finger out (if he gets on) and prove why he won the player of the season award last season.
Three points and a brace each for the front two and last nights nightmare will be consigned to the bin.

Never... Logan and Bidwell would be used as attacking wing backs.
Donaldson needs to be dropped for a couple, his head isn't there and attempts on goal are ones which wouldn't even test your nan... I like him alot, but he does need dropping x

Looks good to me, :imwith:.

Moore
Logan Dean Craig Bidwell
O'Connor
Forshaw Adeyemi
Fredericks Forrester
El Alagui... (goalhanging and making sure he's always there for F&F's deliveries. Not getting tired and frustrated tracking back). I choose FEA ahead of Clayton and Hayes because he IMO is the most likely to finish off F&F'S and the wingbacks deliveries.

. An organised xmas tree 4-5-1 when defending. A clever, dangerous 4-3-3 when attacking.

Subs: Lee, Legge, Diagouraga, Douglas, Saunders, Donaldson, Hayes. On paper, a strong bench.

If you want two wing backs, then it's more attacking to have Dean & Craig as centre backs and Kev patrolling in front; he'll cover the space better than anyone else. With two of Forrester, Fredericks and Dallas to pair up with the wing backs, that's at least playing the width... all we need is some strikers, then.

442 Line up

Moore

Fredricks Douglas Forshaw Forrester
Hayes Donaldson

A 2 up front is toothless and/or missing chances. Go 4-3-3 to create more widthe with Adeyemi in midfield 3 playing further forward of the 3.

Moore
Logan - Dean - Craig - Bidwell
Forshaw - Douglas
Adeyemi
Fredricks - Hayes - Forrester

You could replace Fredricks with Donaldson to play right if preferred.

Harry will come in for KO and Dean for Legge. Up front is interesting. I'd go for Donaldson and Hayes.

a bit like how chelsea play and not defensive IMO

Team v Crawley

I came on here intending to make the radical suggestion of playing Harry as a striker only to find I have been beaten to it. When he signed for us he declared his best position as central, behind the striker(s). I would like to give him a try, basically as in inside forward, alongside one of the three main strikers. A large part of a successful striker is confidence and self-belief; I don't think Harry is lacking in that department.

Team v Crawley

Agree, too many fingers in too many pies to help us out I believe

NO Koc at home, quite amazed how many would still start with him at home!

As for Hayes starting, he's not shown anything to start for me, I'd rather give German or Hacker a go than Hayes

Have to say to those that want Douglas out, you've not got a clue. Especially when they want him replaced with Koc! Then again, I know nearly everyone on here love him for some reason so I don't know why I even try to be anti koc

Regardless of your feelings towards him, he's been MOTM in three of the four games he's started. His performance in the 5-1 demolition of Crewe was fantastic. Even you with your anti KOC glasses on have to accept that ? Or is the thought of KOC starring in our biggest win of the season - at home where you wouldn't play him - just too much for you to bear ? :D

In all seriousness, I think Douglas is the better player, especially at home and as part of a four man midfield but he's got to show it and he really isn't at the moment. On form, Kev gets in ahead of him IMO.

I hope/ think Lee will play in goal

Must admit I'm a confirmed member of the Richard Lee fan club but I could find no convincing argument for Lee to replace Moore between the sticks. Moore has been consistently excellent thus far this season.

Why ?? With all of our current failings in other areas of the team, why on earth would you look to drop our most consistent performer ? Madness.

And I can guarantee you that fit or not, he won't.

Hope he gets a run out in the JPT though.

Moore
Logan Dean Craog Bidwell
Fredericks Forshaw (Douglas or Adeyemi) Forrester
Hayes Farid

I'd go Adeyemi but that would be one young and inexperienced midfield and they could be mullered by the bully boys form Sussex so it's probably a knee-jerk reaction to Tuesday.

We know Uwe won't leave out Douglas and he rates Adeyemi , so I think Fredericks won't start. I also think he'll start with Clayton [ for the first time,I felt like wringing his neck on Tues due to sheer frustration with him]. Although IMO Farid had a bit of a mare on Tues day , I'd like to see him start but I don't think he will.

I don't think anyone should be concerned about the defence, assuming Dean will be back to replace Legge. The question is: how do we use the midfielders and those loosly described as strikers to conjour up a goal or two? I hope the coaching staff have studied the Crawley vs Tranmere game to see how best to exploit their weaknesses; will it be speed and movement or will it be pile in the box and brute force? We have the personnel to do either...

Lee would be my first choice, I think he is a top keeper...

Please let's play an attacking team using the pace and trickery of our more talented players, would rest Douglas and let Kev patrol in front of the defence up front a complete lottery but reckon he will continue with Clayton as, apart from his goal scoring!!!! He does offer a lot to the team

Moore
Logan Dean Craig Bidwell
Kev
Fredericks forshaw Forrester
Hayes
Donaldson

If we play that team and still don't score then quite frankly I despair!!!

You're probably looking at 1 goal scored, 12 shots on targets (2 one-on-ones missed) and another seven or eight off-target.
Crawley will probably score a brace and nick the points.

As much as I didn't think we needed KOC, JD and TA to all play on Tuesday I think we might need a few enforcers on Saturday. Crawley aren't going to come and let us play pretty football.

I think we may be surprised and they will play a bit of football as well. They aren't where they are by accident and have a few good players. Wouldn't underestimate their chances of a top 6 finish ?
