Got to have Douglas in there. Does Craig's suspension kick in straight away?

If Forshaw doesn't play Judge to start, didnt want to leave him out but can't drop Pritch and the Forshaw/Jota need game time.

Moses came on and was our most effective full back of the season so far.

Dougie and McCormack in midfield together will terrify their kids.

Fulham are in complete turmoil it seems, what a great time to be playing them!

Can see a lot of changes given the extra effort of playing with 10 men. NP and the Spaniards are certain starters I would have thought. The back 5 will be interesting as we have a lack of depth with TC"s suspension And is Yennaris still injured?

I'm inclined to say that actually it could be the worst time.
If this Fulham side has any character at all they will react strongly as a set of professionals to yesterday's humiliation.
Regardless of current form they are not going to roll over and concede a local derby to us.

If it was anyone but Fulham, I'd be ok with seeing a back four like that in the second round of the Carling Cup. As it isn't though, I'm not and selfishly, I want to see a much stronger defence than the one you've picked.

A tricky one for Warbs. The players who he will start for different reasons are Odubajo, Jota and Tebar as he will want to bring them up to speed for the league campaign. Id also add Proschwitz to that list. A big question is whether Nico is fit enough to play as if he is I'd say he'll play at right back and if not its possible that Moses will get a run out at right back with Dallas in front of him. That will mean that Jota will play on the left although he and Dallas will swap roles. McCormack may be given a try out in defensive midfield but i still think will be Douglas with Tebar and then Pritchard further forward. So:

Button (assuming Lee injured)

Odubajo (assuming Nico injured still)
Dean
Tarkowski
Bidwell

Douglas
Tebar

Dallas
Pritchard
Jota

Proschwitz

Subs
Bonham
McCormack
Judge
Diagouraga
Toral
Gray
O'Connor

Nobody has suggested Richard Lee in goal? Surely that's a possibility, assuming he's not injured.

I also think Dougie may be rested-although saying that there is a international break after next weekend-so players may not need the rest if you see what I mean !

A great chance to give some players a bit of game time. So, in 4-4-2 formation:

Lee

Yannaris, Dean, Calvet, Bidwell

Tebar, Disgorger, Forshaw, Smith

Hogan (if possible), Poshbits

Team V Fulham

Chapman

Gilham
Weir (capt)
Tarrant
Oteng

Devlin

Hall

Wickham

Benham

Subs:

Mrs Benham
Domoney
McParland
Royce (GK)

... and we still won't need extra time :sorted:

sh*t, I forgot O'Connor. Yes, maybe Penny O'Connor on the bench instead of Frank McP. ;)

Thanks to whoever changed the thread title.

As a grown adult I did find it a bit pitiful.

I think we're committed to a 4-3-3/4-5-1. That won't change now.

I reckon we'll go with:

Button
Yennaris Dean Tarkowski Bidwell
Judge Tebar Toral
Moore Proswitch Jota

League is the priority and this cup the least important, but it's Fulham so we need to take it semi seriously.

Button
Calvet Tark Dean Bidwell
Toral Dave Tebar
Jota Pros Moses

Subs; Bonham, Judge, Gray, KOC, Dallas, Smith, Hogan

This side will have more than enough to make R3.

Weve had a bid of 50p in old money from a town up north with a pier and apparently hes a tad pissed off, cause he reckons he's been undervalued by 25p. MB says hes now training with the under 11's not the youth team until he has sorted his head out.

I think the club mentioned Rotherham for Hogan a while back

Team V Fulham

Warburton has said a couple of times words to the effect of "it's a long hard season and we don't want to rush injured players back and risk longer-term damage." Forshaw, Hogan and Yennaris fall into this group and I'd expect them to be eased back onto the bench over the next few games. I'm not sure the reason for Lee's disappearance, though!

Team V Fulham

Its less about being rested, more about not risking them when the league is no 1

I don't agree with "not risking them", what's the risk, doing their job and playing? They could get injured any game or in training. Local rivals, chance of a cup run, strongest team and get our first home win of the season can only build confidence and help us push on to more victories.

then we will have to agree to disgree. the more exposure to risk (ie playing full intensity games) the more chance of injury. League is no 1 priority, and given the depth we have see no need to risk the key individuals. for example we need to see what Tebar and Jotal (sp?) can do, why not use this game to find out?

Reserves and development squad for this one. Its only Fulham.
