Collins limping off and us playing out the last couple of minutes with 10 men on Saturday (all subs used) suggests to me he won’t feature. If not, does Zanka get a swansong, KA move central with Mads R dropping in at right back…or has either of our two young centre backs so impressed TF that he is willing to take a risk?

If it is to be Zanka's last game for us, although I thought he had a year left on his contract, he should take the opportunity to kick Gordon over the perimeter fence. It's for the best, and he will be universally acclaimed by the supporters of all other EPL clubs. He can claim that Gordon initiated the contact.

Bit pointless picking a team without Toney. We all know he's going to start, unless one or both legs fall off before Sunday. Although he doesn't get in the team on form, I don't begrudge him the send-off he deserves. That means Wissa has to play on the left, as his cameo on Saturday was sensational. Assuming Collins is injured, the only other change should be Roerslev coming in and Ajer shuffling into the middle.
As we should overtake Everton with a win, we're not going to gamble millions in prizemoney by throwing in squad players and debutants, which is a shame as I'd like to see Trevitt etc off the bench.

That's a great shout... And DEFINITELY should be carried out.

Ideal:

Flekken
Ajer Collins Pinnock
KLP Damsgaard Janelt Reguilon
Mbeumo Schade
Wissa

I know we never go 343 from the start but this is a fun attacking lineup that rewards form, and we've seen palace have a lot of success with a 343/3421 (and Luton despite getting relegated have outperformed expectations with the same). Feel like it would get the attackers closer together as well

Realistic:

Flekken
Ajer Collins Pinnock Reguilon
Jensen Nørgaard Damsgaard
Mbeumo Toney Wissa

Not changing the formation or dropping the captain & vice captain but still a more creative midfield

Difficult to omit Wissa because of his form, goals and goalscoring ability, but for me, I only like him in the middle of a front three.

Hopefully he and Schade can have an impact as substitutes.

Toon have aerial dominance and will be happy playing against a team that filter their attacks through a strong, physical number 9.

Of course he going to start but I don't think it's the right tactical approach against a team that struggle against quick and nimble attackers.

Luton-esque XI pls TF.....they're not all that but if we play to their strengths we'll flatter them.

Pretty much the same matchday squad as last week I reckon, except an outfield player to come onto the bench (was x2 GKs vs Muff). Onyeka or somebody I presume, if fit.

Wonder if Neal makes the bench?

Would be great to see him score one more goal and stick to ex toffee teammate Gordon.

Wouldn’t be surprised if TF goes 3-5-2 to start with at least. Newcastle are not a team to allow too much space and freedom.

I'd be very surprised by any change in formation. No need for caution as the result isn't vital for us.

.............that's the one.............
no way jose. over past seasons Toney has helped us get where we are today.
Possibly our best ever forward with Holdsworth

Gordon not in the squad, Isak benched

You heard it here first

No need to play any of the 5 that are leaving, We need to look to the future, Perhaps just 5 mins at the end for Saman & Neil as a thank you gesture for the fans.
