Team v QPR

Bentley
Dalsgaard Egan Mepham Barbet
Woods McLeod Sawyers
FloJo Maupay Watkins

Subs: Daniels, Bjelland, Yennaris Clarke, MArcondez Canos

Was tempted to start Canos and play Watkins central, but Maupay will want this and I couldn't drop Watkins or Flo for Canos at the moment. I think the subs will be key to this game and will get their chance.

Judge injured I presume?

Maupay on for Watkins if he's tiring or not playing well.
Yennaris on for Moko if he doesn't cut the mustard.
Sawyers on for MacLeod if he doesn't deliver or tires.

(feel a bit sorry for Marcondes but I think Watkins did well and Maupay deserves at least to be sub!)

Am I missing something here??? Sawyers on the bench and McLeod starting really?????????

Most team GPG selections are unlikely but this is a dead cert not to happen.

Quite like this. The one question mark for me is Macleod, I think Smith will go with either Yennaris or Mokotjo instead.

I would also be tempted to play MacLeod in the No 8 role to give us added creativity and attacking intent, but suspect Smith will go with Mokotjo. At right back I would not be surprised if Dean Smith picked Clarke. I think the front three could very well be same as the one that started Saturday. I am assuming at centre back the pairing will be Egan and Mepham

Team v QPR

Think Smith will go with same line-up so realistically expecting another draw. Desperately hoping i’m wrong! Also after bristol city i did biggish bet on reaching play offs lol

Why would Smith leave Dalsgaard out? Played very well in the last couple of games hasn’t he?

Yep. The best he's played for us I'd say. So he's in. Clarke always does well v the Raras. Maybe he'll come on further up the pitch at some stage.

Why would going with the same line-up (which would be my choice) mean that we should "realistically" expect another draw? We had the upper hand against Fulham for long stretches of the game and I'd expect the same but more so against a lower-half team like QPR - if everyone's on song, that is.

So why would you expect another draw when we played well last weekend?

Bizarre?

The same team is more than cable of beating them...No doubt.

So which team would you chose to avoid a draw?

Sawyers

Jozefzoon
Maupay
Watkins

Holloway has stated that his side are going to come at us so we need to pass it round them at pace and rip them a new one. Yennaris should make way then for me and will probably be replaced by Mokotjo though I'd be tempted to try Maceachran further up the pitch as Mokotjo has struggled at home recently. Egan in for Bjelland if he;s not fit. Otherwise as you were though I'd try and find a place on the bench for Ogbene and Marcondes.. Tricky though especially if Judge returns to fitness and one of Mokotjo, Macleod or Yennaris would have to miss out.

What an odd comment.

We bossed the Fulham game, Fulham are loads better than QPR. Surely you'd go for a win if we kept the same team...?

I reckon Maupay comes in for Canos, Egan potentially comes in for Bjelland if he still has that knock and he may think about an alternative to Nico.... But i'd actually keep the same team!

I don’t disagree but Dean has been trying to keep team as fresh as possible so think he will make a few changes and this could be one of them but maybe not.

So you wouldn’t keep the same team? Make your bloody mind up. Odd comment? lol

I was referencing your comment first, I do think it's weird that you'd automatically come to the conclusion that we'd only draw against QPR if we pick the same team having played so well against Fulham. My opinion below it is what I think could be changed by Smith, but as I said at the end, I'd actually keep the same team as I believe we'd win with it.

All rather simple really.

Team v QPR

Same team except replace canos with Watkins and maupay to start upfront....Bjelland to come back in if fit.

Team v QPR

Bentley

Dalsgaard Egan Mepham Barbet
Woods Maceachran Sawyers

That would be my team but with Nico on the bench for Macleod.

Team v QPR

Same team that started against Fulham if Bjelland is fit to play. Maybe have McEachran instead of Yennaris as Nico hasn't been great recently and QPR will be much easier to take apart by passing them to death.

Team v QPR

Depending on the fitness of Bjelland.

Bentley

Dalsgaard Mepham Bjelland Barbet

Nico Woods Sawyers

Flo Watkins Canos

Subs: Maupay Clarke MacLeod McEachran Marcondes Egan Daniels

If Bjelland is unfit, then Egan in and Kamo sub.

You probably need a Nico/Kamo in the side, would prefer MacLeod but I doubt you’ll see a; Woods, MacLeod, Sawyers, middle three.

Team v QPR

I expect to see the same starting 11 as Fulham, assuming Bjelland is fit. Wouldn't be surprised to see Josh Mc feature from the bench tho.

Team v QPR

Am I missing something here??? Sawyers on the bench and McLeod starting really?????????

Yes because I disagree with people about Sawyers in the last game. He did some decent enough passing but defensively was not good imo. MacLeod is a potentially better all round player imo, brings more goal threat, and is more useful defensively.
I do remember the last time people said Sawyers would never be dropped (then DS did) and the same about McE playing (and then he did) and so on.
I don't mind if people prefer Sawyers to MacLeod but the militant beliefs on here are often wrong.

Are you really comparing a match away to a team that has not lost since January with our previous three opponents? I think that is stretching the facts to match the argument personally. I'll probably stick with the widely held opinion by professionals and supporters that our defensive midfield played was a very important part of a very good performance.

No it’s just an opinion based on last 20 results since boxing day and think qpr will score. I bloody hope and need to be wrong!

btw i thought we performed brilliantly, as mentioned already, and said im not referring to just one postion re sat.

I'd rest Woods and Sawyers and play MacLeod and Josh Mc. I like both of the former but they've been sh*t for months and I'm the only one that can see it.

How hard was that bump on the head you got on Saturday? How many fingers am I holding up?

According to Dean, Bjelland should be fit, Judge probably won't be able to make it

Another tough decision then, Egan and Bjelland or Egan and Mepham or Mepham and Bjelland?

I’d definitely play Mepham but not sure about the other one!

We’ve out played the team second in the division and unbeaten in 20 games. We also had a legit goal disallowed and a nailed on pen turned down, Woods was MOM and we were superb, why are you desperately hoping you’re wrong?

I think you know why. None so blind as them that can't see.
