Though I would actually be tempted to move Dalsgaard back into the back three at the expense of Konsa who has a habit of switching off and play Canos at RWB

Canos has to play rwb in this game. Not sure what the options are for central midfield if Kamo injured as need someone more defensively minded and that’s not Da Silva. Unless try Konsa there has to be Josh Mc . Imagine Konsa will get nod over Henrik at right center back

Not sure if this game is the right game to test it but Konsa at defensive midfield might be a good call.

This is going to be like a certain poster's Anyone But Sawyers line-ups :lol:.

it's quite bizarre. Equally Canos did ok covering at WB but he's not a defender by any stretch of the imagination..

You're probably right ... but the "Anyone But ...." is more justified i think.

Sometimes it pays to have two interchangeable systems when we're more stacked with midfield options...one c-midfielder possibly out & its showing the inherent weakness of only playing a 2 in the middle, especially when the other options are better in a 3. QPR will play Freeman in the hole, so we'll have to make sure we're not out-numbered thru the middle.

4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1, Said playing off NM, haven't the foggiest on the other 8 positions.

We haven't played 442 since Rebus had hair mate

If all fit the same as last Saturday, if Kamo out I would try either Konsa/Da-Silva playing alongside Sawyers.

I like the idea of Konsa in midfield to mark Freeman but not if it means Canos and Dalsgaard manning the right hand side, which realistically, it does. I think we are going to have to stick with McEachran if Mokotjo is out.

Wasn't really advocating this system btw, just when we poss lose one big cog it can have an impact on the overall dynamic. Poss that's more down to a very small 1st team squad with replacements that don't necessarily fit into the 3-4-3. Looking forward to seeing if our Czech lad can fulfill this role.

Yup! He got little change out of Konsa and Dalsgaard in the first half, then went to our left in the second half and only had a bit more space, then went more central but was quite ineffective wherever.
