Team v QPR

Back to the real stuff next Sat. QPR will be up for it given their free scoring recently but that should play into our hands as we'll be able to get at their feeble defence..

Raya, Dalsgaard, Jansson, Pinnock, Henry, Norgaard, DaSilva, Jensen, Benhrama, Watkins, Mbuemo

Subs: Daniels, Jeanvier, Roerslev, Mokotjo, Marcondes, Dervisoglu, Valencia

Nice to have a few more options for the bench! Last place is a toss up between Valencia. Zamburek and Yearwood.

I reckon that currently that is our 1st eleven from those available with a seriously good bench.

I’d keep Roerslev at right back, he deserves it.

Henrik has been exceptional all season and has done nothing wrong. You can't drop him. Pick the best available team. Roerslev's time will come (and probably not too far away)

Unless any unknown knocks injuries or illnesses this should be the team. As for the bench that is probably it although it leaves us with no natural cover for Rico and tough on Zamburek who has looked one of our better players when coming off bench but would vie with Valencia for the wide attacking position on bench. In fact I think Thomas May well pick Zamburek over Valencia but very much a Toss up

Roerslev is today travelling with the Danish U21 team on a 6 day training camp with a test match on Sunday vers Slovakia in Turkey, so he is not available. The team includes Racic and Larsen.

I think Jan is much more useful as a sub, particularly his ability to hold the ball.

I thought European leagues that aren't on a winter break are exempt from releasing players for international call ups? I'd understand Racic going but I'd be amazed if Roerslev's released tbh.

So would I. Even if at the moment Thomas thinks can cover for him on bench (with just one recognized full back in Thimpain) if Henrik picks up a knock or a cold or whatever before weekend we have no right back cover especially if Racic who could probably cover the position if needed also with danish under 21s

The club only mention Japhet Sery Larsen attending the u19s training camp in Turkey, if they also have u21s going think Uefa protocol kicks in and would thus exclude Racic and Roerslev anyway.

QPR on their day have a decent forward line but Pontus marshalling our defence will easily nulify that. What QPR have though is a very weak defence so I expect the BWM to run riot.

Todays news in the Danish press is that Roerslev has withdrawn from the Danish U21 camp due to hisrecent sucess in his club

but... Zamburek has been very impressive when he's come on and has an assist to his name which Valencia doesnt as yet.... Nice problems to have though for a change rather than 'shall we have 4 or 5 defenders on the bench?'!

Yes mate , happy with either but Valencia was a big signing who has come back from injury very well.

No way, we need a changeout for an attacking player who has been in the squad and has been playing well. No reason why the new bloke puts him out of the squad after one FA cup outing.

I was looking at our starting lineup from the 1-0 win over this lot in 2015 (Djuricin).

Can honestly say only Tarkowski and Woods would get into our current 11!

Best starting line up since I have supported the Bees for sure. Everyone one of those players could in my opinion play in the Premiership.

Tarky? To me was a big disappointment in the Championship year he had with us. I really didn't think he had that a great season with us in our first year back.
