with uwe we will never know - he is a well qualified and a thinking man's coach.
but he likes to tinker with his line-ups and systems too.
i hope he is the right man for the club and the 1st division given MBs investment.

I'd switch it to last season's 4-4-1-1 and bring El Alagui back into the side. I'd leave in Diagouraga, who is our only real ball-winning midfielder - O'Connor's presence is probably more important when we play the diamond formation, and as I wouldn't go with that away from home I'd leave him out. I'd give Forshaw some freedom again like at Orient by playing out wide, allowing Diagouraga and Douglas to do the dirtier work, though he could easily switch positions with Forrester. In defence I haven't been completely impressed by Craig so far, but we haven't had major defensive problems since the Walsall game so I'd continue with the same centre-back pairing for now.
El Alagui is our best finisher so needs to stay high up the pitch and allow others (Forshaw, Forrester, Donaldson) to supply him. Donaldson's main strengths seem to be his pace and strength, and he is effective at running the channels, so it makes sense IMO to play him from a wider position.

Farid in for Hayes, otherwise as at Orient. Perhaps Dallas or Fredericks to replace Barron on the bench, to give us a wide option if we need to vary it

watched the football Saturday night(both lots) and the thing that stands out in my mind is, nearly all the goals come from crosses, even when teams don't score the havoc created is great. We have some very good wingers I really would like to see them being used with the full backs overlapping when possible. So what I'm saying is lets have the old 4.4.2 back. We have the forwards who are good in the air to make it worth a try. Oh well, can see this being torn to pieces.
