I’ll be extremely worried if we have Jansson and Mee as our wide centre-backs. Wouldn’t rule it out though.Raya
Jansson Pinnock Mee
Hickey Jensen Norgaard Janelt Henry
Mbeumo Toney
Jansson won’t play right side of a back three will be either Ajer (if fit), Roerslev or Zanke. Don’t think Janelt will be available so either Onyeka or Damsgaard, I would go with former for this game.Raya

I agree. I can’t see Thomas changing his formation for this game. I also can’t see him dropping either of Ethan or Ben for Pontus, unless one of them is carrying a knock (hopefully Ethan returns from his Jamaica game intact). Frank played in the home game against Brighton alongside Vitaly and Matty and then it’s one from three of Kevin, Mikkel & Yoane. I always feel that when we play Brighton it’s as though we’re playing against ourselves with both teams playing a similar style. A win at the Amex would be nice, though.I think Thomas will stick with 433 for some reason so here’s my team.
Raya
Hickey Mee Pinnock Henry
Norgaard Onyeka Jensen
Schade Toney Mbeumo
I have gone for Onyeka here as I feel we need that bit more protection, and with Vita injured he’s our only other holder.
Will be a really tough game at the Amex we really struggled there last season.I agree. I can’t see Thomas changing his formation for this game. I agree we had a very weakened team but I still think this will be a very tough game.In last season’s game they lined up with Trossard, Maupay, Cucurella & Dan Burn and we were on a bad patch with only x5 of this season’s regulars. We had Thompson & Canos as wingbacks, Sorensen, Pontus & Ethan in defence in front of Alvaro so we should be much more confident this time around.
Think KLP is pretty much out for the season? If we were going to Stamford bridge or anfield we'd go 352, and I think Brighton have earned that same respect.
Assuming none of our known injuries have yet recovered and Baptiste is suspended:
Raya
Pinnock Mee zanka
Henry jensen norgaard damsgaard Hickey
Toney mbeumo
Subs: Strakosha, Wissa, Schade, Onyeka, Da silva Jansson, Ghoddos, Stevens, Trevitt
If Ajer or roerslev have recovered they get Steven's place, if yarmoliuk has recovered he gets trevitt's, not sure where klp fits in even if fit TBH as we're light in midfield and defence and we won't need as many attackers in a 352, and I think ghoddos is ahead of him as wingback cover, but you gotta figure he gets on the bench over a b teamer?
Agree this will be our starting XI and probably our bench. If we were going to Stamford bridge or anfield we'd go 352, and I think Brighton have earned that same respect.

My instinct is just that if roerslev and ajer still injured that we'd be more worried about covering fullbacks than forwards, and ghoddos has come on ahead of klp in that position, and has played it a few times in the prem, where KLP has only played it in championship and some friendlies. Either way sounds like he's out for a while so academic reallyAgree this will be our starting XI and probably our bench.
From recent weeks, when KLP was fit, Ghoddos wasn't getting on the bench, so not sure I agree that if KLP was match fit that Ghoddos would be on the bench ahead of him, even as WB cover.
That’s my team if Roerslevs fit, I’m glad people understand this is a 532 rather than a 433 gameHope to see Roerslev. 3-5-2
Raya
Pinnock-Mee-Zanka
Roerslev-Jensen-Nørgaard-Damsgaard-Henry
Mbeumo-Toney
Very very difficult game
I more concerned about Hickey being fit. According to him he played through the pain barrier v Spain and came off when the pain in the knee was too bad. That’s my team if Roerslevs fit, I’m glad people understand this is a 532 rather than a 433 game
Looks like Roerslev is available and as such would say he definitely starts. That’s my team if Roerslevs fit, I’m glad people understand this is a 532 rather than a 433 game
Not zanka? If Hickey is available I would have Roerslev at RCB and Hickey RWB as for the Man Utd game at start of season.
I'd really worry about starting with Onyeka tbh. Brighton are very good on the ball. particularly in midfield, we'll have to be bang on it and make the most of possession when we get it.Looks like Roerslev is available and as such would say he definitely starts.

Rest of defence: Henry, Mee and Pinnock.
Midfield three go Jensen Norgaard and Onyeka. Again Onyeka will offer fresh legs in that midfield and use Damsgaard from bench.
Toney and Mbeumo up front.
We will need more mobility against Brighton, it’s not as if they have a Haaland or the like up top. I like Zanke but I think having a combination of Mee Pinnock and Zanke could be over kill versus Brighton. Having said that if Hickey not available then Roerslev would play rwb and would be that back three and Roerslev and Henry would be given license to attack as semi wingers. Not zanka?
Agreed, he’s a real roll of the dice is Onyeka. He’s either our best player or worst, very rarely anything in between and at this level that’s a gamble.I'd really worry about starting with Onyeka tbh.
