Team vs Charlton

I've had enough of what is one of the worst days in Brentford's recent history - need something new to think about.
The obvious problem against Charlton is the lack of our ever present Bidwell. Lots have been calling for backup in that position, yet here we are.
I would assume Yennaris will be fuming if he doesn't make the team and why else is he in the squad, but he's still untested really. Dallas had a decent game filling in, but surely isn't an option. O'Shaughnessy isn't ahead of Yennaris and O'Connell has gone back to Rochdale, and I don't think he can be recalled yet.
Also, a lot of tired legs and possible injury to Tarky could shake things up.
I would go for:

Button
Moses-Dean-Tarky (if fit, if not Craig)-Yennaris
Dougie-Toums
Toral-Pritch-Dallas
Long

Expecting abuse for choosing Long, but Gray was spent and I would love to see his impact as a sub testing tired defenders. To me, Long has shown enough to merit his loan to us and I think he'll have a decent part to play over the coming games.
We could really do with some of our injured lads getting back in the match day squad, the feistiness and experience of McCormack and Judge have been missed at times.

11 wins from 15 isn't it ? harsh to say we have missed anyone, Moses has been a revelation at rb imho.

Agree with the back four. If either MacLeod or Judgey or Mac are now fit I'd be tempted to give them a game instead of Dougie. Or possibly give Dougie 45 then 45 for them (I prefer it the other way round though as you can see how long they last and take them off whenever suits - or maybe not at all!)
Agree with Toral in for Jota who wasn't really at the races - give him a rest with the option of being a super-sub.
I'd play Gray though. I think his biggest issue is backing himself and hopefully a goal will help a bit (even if he probably should have backed himself instead of trying to pass to Toums with a good chance after his goal in the last match). If he's not looking sharp give Long a go from HT maybe.

I wonder how Moses would get on at left back, if he can play on the left then the timing is perfect for the returning of Mac at right back.

I'd leave Dallas at LB (he won't let anyone down wherever he plays) which would free up a start for Toral :idea:
Reckon Mac will be on the bench for this one

Agreed but I was shocked to realise we've lost 4 of our last 5 home games! I reckon Mac might come in at LB.

My only change would be Yennaris for Bidwell, with McCormack on the bench. It sounds like Tarks will be OK, if not Craig to come in as well. The LB is likely to be up against Gudmundsson who has impressed this season, so a mobile full back is needed rather than Craig or a rusty McCormack.

I dont see why Andre should be dropped I thought he was superb against Angella & Cathcart in the second half. Whoever plays up front will be up against Ben Haim & Bikey, from what I have seen of Long he hasnt got the physical presence to make much of an impact against these 2.

Depends how people pull up after last night. Pritchard looked to take a knock and Tarkowski was struggling before going off. Hopefully everyone is fit.

I'd bring Toral in for Jota and McCormack to start at left back.

Our season's over. May as well put the Development Squad out. We'll still be another 3 points safer from relegation though.

Agree about Dallas at left back, just watched warbs post match interview and was very complementary about Stuarts performance.
Saturday if another big game and putting yenaris in when he hasn't had a kick for ages is high risk, equally putting Alan mc in after a long lay off so :

Agreed if Tarky is injured. This will be the team. There is no way Yennaris will play. He hasn't played a minute in the league this season. Warbs preferred to leave Stuart at left back on Tuesday rather than bring Yennaris on.

Dallas would need to be functioning as a left wing back to cover TC's lack of pace

Imo toral deserves to start and so does Dallas so would drop jota as he hasn't done well the last two games

God, is it only a week since Leeds away - seems like a lifetime!

I don't really care who plays. I just want to go back to thinking about football!!!
