I'm all over thatToney gets an enforced rest.
Sounds like Nørgaard will be in contention.
Pretty important game, how would you line up? I’d go with:

Looks good to me but need to see how bad the injury is for Jensen.Toney gets an enforced rest.

Yep. Janelt comes in if he can’t play.Looks good to me but need to see how bad the injury is for Jensen.
I could go with this but I’d swap KLP and Canos.Toney gets an enforced rest.
Sounds like Nørgaard will be in contention.

I would like the front three to be fluid throughout the game.I could go with this but I’d swap KLP and Canos.
That diamond at the top end of the pitch could do some serious damage (in both ways). If we start with this, and those front 4 turn up bang on it.. Boyy, it'd be a long day for the forest defendersToney gets an enforced rest.

I think we tried that at Leeds last season worked quite wellI would like the front three to be fluid throughout the game.
KLP, Canos, Mbeumo is a pretty pacy front three all willing to run at opponents. Many of you are making much to many changes. That is not needed. We haven't lost 5 in a row and are in a relegation battle.
Norgaard would be nice, but if he's ready - from the start or from the bench - he will probably not be able to play more than half an hour. That indicates he starts as a sub.
The attack is the interesting part without Toney. Forest usually plays rather deep, so we need to have some pace up front. Wissa and Mbeumo have to step up. Canos could be possibility, but I'll go with KLP.
KLP for Wissa & I’d go with this.Raya
Ajer Pinnock Mee Henry
Onyeka Janelt Jensen/Damsgaard
Mbeumo Wissa Canos
Very unlikely Norgaard will start which means Janelt has to, then it’s a case of whether Jensen is fit or not. Sounds like a dead leg so hopefully he’ll be fine. In which case I’d put him in with Damsgaard. Forest are likely to defend deep so we’ll need creativity on the ball to prise them open. Up front I think we should put Wissa central. He’s a cracking finisher in and around the box and with better players in midfield we may not have to go long so much..
Raya, Roerslev, Mee, Pinnock, Henry, Janelt, Jensen, Damsgaard, Canos, Wissa, Mbeumo
Subs: Cox, Ajer, Zanka, DaSilva, Ghoddos, Baptiste, KLP, Norgaard, Onyeka

To be fair, they have big, slow units at the back, perm any two from Worrall, Cook, McKenna, Niakhate or Boli and if we can link up from midfield our nippy forwards might cause them more problems than Ivan who they will have planned to negate. Not sure I see many people making too many changes.
- Some are enforced (e.g we know Hickey and Jansson aren’t available)
- Some are linked to the fact 3-5-2 has served us abysmally away from home this season (not a single win, despite having played two promoted teams and several teams that find themselves at the wrong end of the table)
- The others are based on the fact our set up is designed with Toney up front. We have no one like for like (or even remotely similar) in the squad so will have to change the way we play to be a lot more like our championship style (more passing, fluid movement and less dynamic) which necessitates a change of personnel (and probably formation).
True, not saying we can’t beat them without him but will mean changes to the way we play and the personnel needed, which is why I don’t agree with Dynamite that people are suggesting too many changes. To be fair, they have big, slow units at the back, perm any two from Worrall, Cook, McKenna, Niakhate or Boli and if we can link up from midfield our nippy forwards might cause them more problems than Ivan who they will have planned to negate.
Damsgaard and Jensen together? Weedy but potentially skilfull Really bad or really good. I wouldn't be averse to trying them out.My starting 11
Ghoddos4-3-3 ( if norgaard , jensen and baptiste injured)
RAYA _ PINNOCK _MEE _HENRY _ CANOS / AJER _ DASILVA_ DAMSGAARD _JANELT_ KLP _ MBEUMO _ WISSA / GHODDOS
That seems entirely reasonable. Forest seem to have a pedestrian back line and, with Jensen or Damsgaard we should be able to explore space and get at them with a quick and mobile front line.KLP for Toney (with Wissa in the middle) and Damsgaard for Jensen if not fit. Norgaard sub.

Where’s Bryan - this is a match he should excel inMy starting 11
Possible in theory. Jensen is actually quite decent at CDM but we’d need Damsgaard to do a lot more of the pressing and clever passing we normally get from Jensen now. On Saturday I thought JDS did a good box to box job and defended capably. But both he and MD are some way off being consistent enough at PL level in those roles. If Norgaard isn't back - I was thinking after the match on Saturday how a midfield of Jensen (as dm) behind Josh and Damsgard would get on![]()
not in the team his finishing is woeful and always giving the ball away thinking he can beat everyone which causes us to be under unnecessary pressure.Where’s Bryan - this is a match he should excel in
He has a good match Saturday and provided the cross for our goalnot in the team his finishing is woeful and always giving the ball away thinking he can beat everyone which causes us to be under unnecessary pressure.
Why 5 at the back for forest we need to attack themRaya
Roerslev Ajer Mee Pinnock Henry
JDS Janelt Damsgaard*
Mbeumo KLP
*Only if Jensen isn't fit
I’d be worried not enough steel or combativeness without Janelt or Oneyeke in a three if no Norgaard. If Norgaard isn't back - I was thinking after the match on Saturday how a midfield of Jensen (as dm) behind Josh and Damsgard would get on![]()
Yeah get where you are coming from, although, tbh I haven't seen Forest at all this season do they have a fairly combative midfield?I’d be worried not enough steel or combativeness without Janelt or Oneyeke in a three if no Norgaard.
They play Fruelier Mangala Yates sometimes KouyateYeah get where you are coming from, although, tbh I haven't seen Forest at all this season do they have a fairly combative midfield?
I’m not 100% as it seems to change so regularly, Aidan O’Brien, Kouyate, Yates and Colbeck are all aggressive battlersYeah get where you are coming from, although, tbh I haven't seen Forest at all this season do they have a fairly combative midfield?
From what i have seen from Yates, he seems to be a McTominay clone, runs about like a headless chicken kicking every oppo player from pillar to post with immunity from bookings.I’m not 100% as it seems to change so regularly, Aidan O’Brien, Kouyate, Yates and Colbeck are all aggressive battlers
That would be my take on him as wellFrom what i have seen from Yates, he seems to be a McTominay clone, runs about like a headless chicken kicking every oppo player from pillar to post with immunity from bookings.
We can attack from 5 at the back. We'll still have KLP, Mbeumo, JDS and Damsgaard/Jensen on the pitch, with overlapping wing backs and Ajer driving forward occasionally from RCB. I feel we set up so much better defensively with this formation. Why 5 at the back for forest we need to attack them
I don’t why everyone is saying without norgaard when Thomas has said he’s back next week ? 5 at the back away from home we’ve conceded 9 goals in 2 games mate 433 for meWe can attack from 5 at the back. Without Norgaard, 4 at the back away from home stinks of goals conceded and 0 points.
