Why not just play the B team?

Bentley and Sorensen in for Daniels and Konsa.

If either Dalsgaard and Rico are fit then maybe in for Canos. However I think Canos has been excellent.

Could Dalsgaard be best used as the right sided defender of the central 3 in place of Konsa?

Think we’d lose a lot by moving Jeanvier there to accommodate Sørensen, and the latter or Barbet in the middle doesn’t fill me with confidence.

Odubajo, Canos, Field and Henry (if available) as the wing back choices. Important selection as from memory Hull are strong on the flanks; Grosicki & Bowen.

Moses has done well on the left but I do prefer a natural that sided footer as the wing back. Especially that our left sided attacker is also typically right footed meaning we usually end up cutting back when attacking down our left. Whereas, we have more variety on the right.

I certainly think there needs to be some creativity in selection and I agree that moving Jeanvier out of the central position to accommodate Sørensen and Barbet to his left is a recipe for disaster. Mads has the better heading ability to play central but he really needs more maturity to start there.

Yeah I'd take a back 3 of Dalsgaard - Jeanvier - Barbet all day considering what we have available.

Jeanvier's been great in the middle recently and Barbet (other than yesterday) has been great on the left, so moving both just to accommodate Sorensen is asking for trouble. A straight swap of Konsa for Dalsgaard would be much less disruptive.

Why not just swap Sorenson for Konsa and keep the others where they are?

Not quite the team I would go with but a lot depends on injuries

If Dalsgaard is not fit move Odubajo back into Back 3 then Kirk or Canos

Is Konsa banned now or does start next week ,

While it worked well enough against Villa, my only reservation with persisting with Canos at RWB is that it then basically means we then have no one who can come off the bench and make a difference if need be.

Whereas before if Canos or Benrahma tired after 70 minutes, we could just switch one for the other, now we've basically only got a very unproven Ogbene to come on and try and switch things up.

For that reason, I'd somewhat reluctantly go for;

I'm not sure if I'm completely comfortable with starting Field, but I suppose now's as good a time as any to see if he can have any kind of future here.

Odubajo needs a rest as he has played nonstop since Barnet (away) apart from the first half against Blackburn and we risk breaking him again.

We have to get Dalsgaard back in and probably give Field a go.

Like most I expected Henry to be a quick recovery but it is already a fortnight.

We won't see Daniels again.

Want to see Canos as an impact sub as we lack game changers from the bench unless we give Ogbene some minutes.

I suspected it was this (although personally I really don't think it matters anywhere near as much as is made out sometimes and countless centrebacks have done just fine on their "wrong" side).
Just can't help wondering whether it's more of a risk having a full back filling in at CB rather than a CB playing at CB (even if it's not on his ideal side).

I don't think it matters so much in a two but becomes much more important in a three...

The seed had been planted in my head when they were 2-1 up against Wednesday, glad it's remained a double digit deficit.

Agreed. Tis will be the team unless Rico is fit in which case either Moses or Sergi for right wing back role and would be tempted to go for Moses to give us more defensive satbility on the right side and some protection for Henrik.

The play offs might be gone but there aren't many points between us and finishing in the top 10 again. What's the latest on Marcondes, i thought they said he was running again a couple of weeks ago?

I think it is very important that we look to finish in the top 10, at least. It establishes us (again) as a top team with a realistic chance of having a crack at promotion next season. Apart from the prestige, sponsorship money etc. it must help us in attracting talented new players to the club to demonstrate that we are not strugglers or also runs in this division. Hence every game we need to play our strongest team.

he posted a photo of him kicking a ball yesterday so can't be too far off. Maybe he'll get some game time with the B team tomorrow.. Would def be a big plus to get him back fit..

Interesting that Sorenson and field both played for the B team today. Might suggest that Dalsgaard could be back and playing at CB..
