I'd expect Ivan to be starting considering he didn't today. Mads retains RB spot. Seems harsh on VJ, but agreed if Cn is available.

Thought today showed again that Wissa is so much better through the middle, so would either start KLP or move Schade to left

Schade looked very sharp but can’t see him starting a match yet. Pinnock for Zanka one would think and Toney for Maupay, if Toney not fit to start then KLP in and move Wissa to middle of front three.

Ajer and Toney start over Collins and KLP if fit but given neither played today I wouldn't want to rush either of them

Poor Baptiste but can't justify dropping any of the others

My guess is that we have seen the last of KA this season and Norgaard unlikely to feature much before the end. I’d repeat today but with 2-3 changes:

Pinnock replacing Zanka who, given his age, has put in some amazing shifts of late
Schade starting central in place of Neal and possibly KLP replacing Wissa

Quite a few questions; be a bonus for me if any of Ajer, Pinnock, Nørgaard, Schade or Toney actually start the game or play a lot of mins.

Assuming they don’t, the major decision to make is KLP or Maupay IMO.

I think above will be the team with Toney and Ajer on bench. Maupay probably on bench instead of Norgaard as can’t see him being fit.

Don’t think Schade will start yet but trust Toney would have if we hadn’t got all 3 points yesterday.
Think Maupay will be benched and Ethan will replace Zanka who has done ok but looks like it’s been a long season and he’s played more games than he expected.
I’d be inclined to leave midfield as is but bring Yarma on at half time if we are chasing the game

I thought Zanka looked very trim yesterday. Think all this game time must be getting to him.

It will be the team that played Villa away with Pinnock coming in for Ajer. I can't see him playing 3 up top if Toney isn't fit, too soon for Schade to play 90 mins.

I would expect Wissa to be first reserve/ alternative central striker or super sub next season. Still plenty of game time. Negates need to buy Maupay if really 9m. Buy a younger striker to bed in.

It will be a bit of a battle so, step forward Frank Onyeka who will break things up, get a foot in etc. and out muscle them in the middle of the park. We have sufficient attacking options, similarly in defence. Just a case of getting the right balance in midfield.

I can't see us going gung ho given a draw would pretty much put to bed any remaining (small) doubts we will finish above them. So I expect to see 3-5-2

We just didn’t look comfortable playing 433 yesterday so I’d go back to 3 CB ,ironically i think sometimes it enables us to be more attacking with the wingbacks as we showed so spectacularly at Villa.
Who knows whose fit so perm 3 from whichever CB’s are fit (hopefully we have 3 if not rethink needed) , midfield same as yesterday , doubt Noorgard goes straight in , and Toney and Mbuemo up top or Wissa if Toney unfit, Wissa so much better down the middle anyway rather than a peripheral figure shoved out wide like yesterday .

Anyone dropping Vitaly at this stage of the season needs to have a good think. He’s played every game in a season decimated by injury and unless he can’t walk deserves to see in all 38, even if alongside CN. He may not be a Rolls Royce but he’s been ultra reliable and is in decent form.

Then Thomas can give him an extra week off in the summer as he deserves it!

The problem with a 4-3-3 is that its either a 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 (more defensive).
With 5-3-2 it easily becomes 3-5-2, 3-3-4 or a 4-3-3 if one wingback attacks.
Its a much better formation and as you say, actually more attacking as we are not a possession team.

I’ve just looked at the lineup we started with at the Gtech and was quite shocked that it was virtually the same as the team we played away at Sheffield with the only differences being Bryan for KLP with Yarmo starting instead of Shandon. Luton’s lineup is somewhat different now than then, too, and Rob Edwards said after their game against Man City that “…We have one fit centre-back at the moment.” so although it will, no doubt, be a difficult game for both teams we can (and should) go there with a reasonable amount of confidence following our win on Saturday and, injury permitting, should be able to put out a strong team especially if Ivan is fit to start. Personally, I can’t see that Kevin will be a starter just yet, but I expect that Thomas will give him a decent 20 minutes at the end of the game to work on his match fitness.

But I think TF wants us to be - he had hoped to move that way this season before all the injuries - possibly he's trying to work towards it now.
