defo not bentley.....daniels should never have lost his place after the leeds game anyway which was poor management imho, he was in pole position and it was his position to lose,,,,,,,,,the rest is a bit of a lottery at the moment though.....god knows who should start in midfield

I’d go for this but I hope DaSilva is on the bench and gets on at some point. There’s not much goal scoring potential in that midfield three but we lack options at the moment.

Amazed the number of people wanting Daniels back in! If I look back to the team v B City thread I cannot find one person who thought Daniels should have kept his place. And now after two matches (one of which he played very well) there's a clamour for Bentley to be dropped again!
Even if he made a couple of mistakes last night (and I actually don't think he did, by the way) I struggle to see how it helps the team to keep chopping and changing the 'keeper every couple of games.
In terms of starting XI, Island Bee has got it right I think. Watkins needs a rest and hopefully can get his form back by making an impact from the bench.

Looking at the replay it's easy to see how he might have thought it was kicked by their man instead. This is fairly obviously what happened as there's no way he picks it up otherwise.

If it was blatant (to him) he wouldn't have picked it up! He must have seen it as coming off the Preston player - I guess you could call it a mistake but personally I wouldn't drop him for that!

He wasn’t paying attention if it wasn’t blatant to him. I wouldn’t drop a keeper after one mistake either but it’s not been one mistake this season, it’s been 6 or 7.

Needs to be dropped for SEVERAL games. I was on the 'red button' and I assumed he would kick it clear. Too many errors this season.

Put another way......the only other player we have fit that suits the attacking midfield role is MacLeod and he's arguably been even worse than Sawyers!
Until Marcondes is fit Sawyers is likely to keep getting starts even if he has been poor most of the season.

Apart from first 12 games or so. Credit in the bank means nothing to us. He just needs to deliver.
Now Kamo is proving himself in holding role i would consider replacing Sawyers with McEachran for a game or two. He played that position perfectly at QPR. Just to give Sawyers a rest who is still one of my fav players btw

To be fair I'd forgotten about him (sorry Alan!). Suppose you're right it's possible he could do this but I think he'd need to have heavy instruction before hand, on not leaving us over-exposed in the middle and not drift into the corners too often, and leave the wingers to do that. If we play McE, Kamo, and Sawyers ahead this weekend and he's still not raised his game, then it may be worth a go.

I have been wanting Watkins dropped for a while, but now I am not so sure. He was delighted to score against Preston. I also think he improved following that goal. He held the ball well and his pasising improved. It's what I have been waiting for, I don't think I would drop him. I would also keep Bentley just because Mepham will be back.
